However, parents who have seen the car in flesh seem to think either Golden Brown or Meteoroid Gray.
Struggling to make a decision. Any suggestions please?
I like Silver color. It looks mighty to me in silver color.

Grey or Blue would be my choice. Blue is a bit flashier, has that fresh car vibe whereas grey is more understated and makes the elevate feel much larger.

Re: Honda Elevate Review

Thankyou all...much appreciated for the quick response.
Taking into consideration my parents choice as well, I have gone for:
1. Brown (parent's 1st choice)
2. Grey (unanimous choice)
3. Silver (my choice)

Lets see which one comes first in terms of delivery.
The wait starts now!

I saw the elevate in grey in traffic and it definitely feels bigger and a bit better than my blue elevate.

I also like the orange too.

Re: Honda Elevate Review

I purchased the following accessories from dealer after studying the recommendations here:
  • mud guards
  • cover
  • cargo tray
  • step illumination
  • door handle protector
  • tailgate entry guard
  • dashcam

I purchased the dashcam even though I wasn't very satisfied. I had expected them to do hardwiring and even confirmed with them a few days ahead. However, right before the delivery, they said they couldn't hardwire it as the kit didn't come with any wiring. I asked if they could still do it with additional wiring, but they were doubtful about not voiding the warranty. If I had known that they would just plug it into the 12v adapter, I would have purchased something better online. However, I didn't have time to get one for my upcoming trip, so I decided to go ahead. It is a very basic device for the price paid and doesn't even have an emergency button to preserve the current clip.

I also opted for ceramic coating for 20k+GST, but I haven't noticed a significant difference in the paint appearance or feel. I will have to pay closer attention to the perceived benefits.

I also bought the below per an earlier recommendation on this thread:.[/quote]

I have booked Zx CVT and expecting delivery in 3-4 days. Please help me in deciding accessories to be taken.
How is the fit and finish of the floor mats you bought from amazon, can you please share some pictures of them installed.

Insurance for Honda elevate

Hi i will be taking delivery of ZX CVT Honda elevate next week.
Honda assure is quoting insurance 76k with all addons from ICICI or Future Generali.
But from Acko , i am getting for 35k with same addons.
Which one should i go for?
Also what all accessories are recommended to be taken from Showroom and local purchase?

Re: Honda Elevate Review

Update after a 400 km Trip
  • Suspension is pure bliss.
Final stretch to my resort was light off road. It was handled really well and I loved it. The segment best ground clearance was so good.
  • Mileage seems to be okay. 14.6 kmpl overall. The trip has mild traffic congestion and lot of hilly slope climbs. The peak mileage observed was 16 kmpl.
  • The engine has enough power to handle any terrain or overtake other vehicles. However, the issue lies in the unpleasant engine noise, despite it coming from an engine that loves to rev.
    Hack : Listen to music
This was a serious fix provided for my friend's Altroz by the ASC when he complained about rattling.
  • Android Auto frequently disconnects during use. The songs being played often experience interruptions and scratches, leading to disconnections on 4-5 occasions throughout the trip.
  • Google map announcements are done only via the driver side speaker which is good.
  • I find the lane departure assist to be intrusive and inconsistent. It operates sporadically, sometimes working and other times not. It tends to activate unnecessarily when overtaking, causing disruptions. Overall, not a feature I liked.
  • I have tried Lane Assist but couldn't use it for long. It keeps on disconnecting even without warning in properly marked roads. Need to research more on its working.
  • Unable to turn off Auto headlamp. The issue arises during early morning and evening when there's sufficient sunlight, but the system keeps turning the lights on and off intermittently. This becomes particularly annoying because the infotainment system switches between dark and light modes. The headlight switch has an off position, but it reverts back to auto mode. If anyone has a solution to disable this feature, please share.

Here are few pictures from the trip

Go for Acko or any other outside insurance if you are okay with not having cashless claims. Make sure you have addons like Zero Dep, Engine protect and Return to Invoice

I purchased only Window visor and Step illumination from Honda. Both can be retro fitted from outside, but quality for that might not be that great.
Step illumination looks stunning.

For mat, go for a 7D mat from Amazon. Also, get a mud flap from a local shop.

The spoiler package appeared appealing on the car, but in my opinion, it wasn't worth spending approximately 35k just for that.

Re: Honda Elevate Review

Any idea what is the current waiting period for ZX CVT variant ?

Location: Kochi ( Kerala )
I did my booking by mid-October , and was promised a delivery date of Dec 20th. However, the SA called now and informed that I will have to wait well beyond Jan of next year to get the allotment.

As per them , Honda has stopped production of elevate from last month and will restart only by early next year . I find this claim ridiculous since they are not selling any of their other models much these days . Looks to me that they want to sell the car only in Jan so as to cash in on the price-hike expected to happen by Jan .

What is the average waiting time you all are hearing these days ? Anyone who booked the car in October and getting delivery in 2023 itself ?

Really cannot understand Honda's play here - At the time of booking , I had asked the dealer for a clear date and he promised that he will deliver by Dec20th no matter what . I would have been okay even if they had initially told Jan/Feb of next year. My issue is that , I have made arrangements to sell my current car by next week. If Honda is not able to deliver the car by this month, I will be forced to look into other options. ( VW has promised a one week delivery ) I don't want to move to another car, since I am a fan of this one and has been actively following it every since they announced the car.

Waiting period in Gurgaon.
However, SA assured that C-CVT can be arranged in 2 weeks (random color).

Also for accessories i have checked in nearby market,
Getting Door visor for 1000rs, Floor mats same as amazon for 3000 rs (Looking good quality).
From Dealer, i am planning to get only Cover, Mudguard.

I did my booking at Johns, Thrissur a few days ago. The SA said they have been advised to indicate a waiting period of 4 months for all variants as standard, particularly for CVT. Manuals may be lesser. It also depends on the colour choice and where you stand in the queue for that particular colour. White had lots of bookings at my dealership for instance, meaning a longer waiting period.
I need the vehicle no later than Feb next year, so hoping it works out. Haven't heard of Honda stopping production which does sound ridiculous. On the down side, I am pretty certain the price increase in 2024 will impact my booking.

Proceed with Acko if they can provide cashless as well. As I mentioned in the previous reply make sure you purchase all the necessary insurance add on as well.

Check the quality of the door visor quality that you get for 1000. Typically, the chrome part wont have good finish. You can choose the aftermarket item without chrome as well.

The floor mat from the picture looks good to me.

Mudguard also you can get better deals outside. Honda charges more than 2k whereas you can get same quality at much cheaper rate from outside.
