I would have booked the Kylaq Signature immediately had it been below 10L ex-showroom. However, IMO, the pricing don't seem competitive. They have over-priced this.

3XO, which I currently hold booking on since May (sigh!), feels far more VFM than this. I'll rethink my decision to book Kylaq now and do a detailed variant-to-variant comparison against 3XO.

Booked the Signature Manual in Lava Blue. Skoda is charging 9000 Rs extra for the Lava Blue color in lower variants.

I must say I am a bit disappointed with this pricing, especially on the higher variants. IMO, 3XO AX5, AX5L will continue to be the most VFM variants in this segment.

Am I the only one who seems to be disappointed with the pricing?

IMO, a rear wiper/washer should be standard across all variants of a hatch style body, my 22 year old Santro had it.
Skoda has gone the Hyundai way by restricting it to the top-end variant.

And the top-end variant is quite overpriced. I'll compare it only to the 3XO, as it's the only shrunken down C segment car. The good thing for Skoda here is that, Mahindra has overpriced its AT variants.

But comparing the manual AX7L (13.99L) to the Kylaq Prestige (13.4L):

Kylaq advantages:
1. Powered passenger seat
2. Telescopic steering
3. Request sensors on both doors
4. Slidable armrest
5. Illuminated power windows- all.
6. Ventilated front seats (big pro IMO)
7. Bigger boot

3XO advantages:
1. Bigger digital instrument cluster
2. Soft touch dashboard
3. More spacious cabin
4. More powerful engine (although should be nullified)
5. Larger sunroof
6. Electronic parking brake with autohold
7. 360° camera with front parking sensors
8. ADAS level 2
9. Dual zone AC with no known cooling issues
10. Branded speakers
11. Rear disc brakes


I do believe that even the automatic which is priced 1.1 lakh more is worth the extra money. Or let go of a few features and get the AX5L/AX7 for less.

Apologies if I've missed/wrongly reported any feature being present/absent.

I completely agree that Škoda has overpriced its “wildcard” without considering the competition it will face. The Prestige AT should’ve priced at 13.5 Lakhs or even lower as an introductory offer!

Typically greedy Skoda pricing. This is not introductory. It will remain the same or correct itself in due course of time.

3XO AX7 TGDI is priced 1.65+ Lakhs cheaper onroad than Kylaq Prestige. Has way more better useful and feel good features.

Kylaq on paper is ~ 3 lakhs cheaper than the Kushaq on-road. Again with Kushaq having a bit more features worth 50k and almost 1.5L year end discounts; the real difference is 1 to 1.4 lakhs between Kylaq and Kushaq.

I expect discounts to start pouring in at least on top end Kylaq variants by Q1'2025 end or once the initial novelty wears out.

Its the Signature+ variant which makes maximum sense from a value perspective even though its a almost 4 lakhs more than the base. The bottom 2 variants miss out of a lot of things and the top is somewhat overpriced in isolation (relative to 3XO).

I too faced same issues, but my dealer did it for me.

Variant wrt pricing is not justified. Signature and Signature + variant carry a premium of 1.8 Lakhs, but the equipment level is not justifyable.

To me, Signature variant is rightly priced with much need features.

I May change the variant on later date. Finger crossed!

While pricing seems decent enough, I truly wish Skoda to offer steel wheels in Signature AT variant and price it below 10L, which can save 50-60k taxes in states like KA where road taxes are high and roads do not exist. For people who do not know, this is because of slab change after 10Lacs mark.

Maruti also wasn't particularly considerate towards high tax paying states with the new Dzire pricing, and now this . I understand that its sad to see people like me are expecting corporations to be considerate instead of asking Government to fix the tax system. But deep down, we know that's never going to happen.

Except for Classic, other variants are expensive and not VFM. If only engine, ride and handling is required without any consideration for features, then Classic offers excellent VFM.
All other variants, 300 is more VFM.

Hi,

I was interested in it from the day of unveil and was looking at a feature rich and premium feeling car to upgrade from a Maruti Celerio VXI(O) AMT. Since I also own a Scorpio N Z4 Diesel At as a bigger car for long runs, the secondary car needs to serve the purpose of city car within NCR region. My Celerio has run ~50K KMS in last 7 years.

Looking into this and available options, I had registered for Kylaq club membership and have booked the car today. My booking is for Kylaq Prestige Automatic in Olive Gold shade.

I was unable to login till 2:10 PM and it showed booking for non members starts at 4 PM. I spoke to Jai Auto Skoda dealership person who told it is an issue everyone is facing and it will be resolved soon. At 2:10 PM login happened and booking went smoothly.

I will be waiting till January for actual test drive and will also be exploring upcoming Kia launch alongside Exter, Sonet & Punch. Then will take final call on buying decision.

Have to agree with you.

Signature AT without alloys and cooled glove box should have been priced at 9.9L.

300 AT definitely is more VFM and makes more sense.

As a registered club member got the link in WhatsApp and tried booking Lava Blue Prestige AT with PPS Skoda Mysore Road but even after booking amount payment, did not get booking confirmation!

Raised complaint with CC and also spoke to the selected dealership. Fingers crossed.
