Hey Dominic, Is it a 1951 Traction Avant that you own. One of my relatives in Chennai has one too. It had been reported many times in the media. They had a 2CV, which I believe they no more have.

Managed this image from the net.

Re: 1951 Citroen Light

These are truly wonderful cars, I used to have one and still look after it for a friend who bought it from me.

The roadholding and cornering abilities are still amazingly high, especially if you use the correct Michelin tyres. The standard exhausts limit the power considerably, I designed and fitted one using pipe and silencers from a more recent 2 litre vehicle and gained at least 10% power and torque, without touching the carburettor or anything else.

They were at least 50 years ahead of their time, in reliability, longevity and strength as well as road manners. So simple, too! Mine was a Light Fifteen, 1953 vintage.
