Its still a little too much Hillram. Unless it is in good condition of course. Normally, 50k is good enough a prics for this. Please put up some pictures though.

There will be major alteration required as the cars are totally different in size and shape.

I assume you refer to 1100s. If so, the 54/56 aluminium grille has a different mounting profile and front panel compared to the 56/57 and later. 58 onwards saw a small pressing to house the larger parking lights, compared to the small ones in 54/56 and oblong ones in 56/57. The grilles can be interchanged, but will never fit properly/tightly.

Wow, that's great news ram! Congrats (in advance!) I presume this is an early 50s 500c (like this):

If it really is good and complete (very important since most of them are juggar'd and parts are too rare to find!) then 70k is a good deal!

Sorry guys,

That car which was supposedly for sale at Rs 70K at Hyderabad is now in pieces.

Someone from Bangalore has brought it last year for Rs 60K without the engine, i am trying to chase down that car, but finally heard, that car is now running on a Maruti-omni engine and diffrentials.

Now about the original engine, its still lying at Hyderabad. And very soon might come to me

Is this the Red Fiat? It was restored in a garage near Queens Road.

Oh I got it Guru, as I had seen lot of conversions from 1st generation to 4th or vice versa, I thought it is fairly easy, never thought on that part.

Saw this Bug Fiat today

Saw this FIAT 500, 1953 model, manufactured by FIAT AUTO POLAND spa today. It sports 5.60x13 tyres. Appears to be restored recently. I am not masking the number in appreciation of the owner who has done a lot of good work in making it the city runabout and as it is a classic.

Um, this was made by Fiat Auto Poland??

The tyres are actually Herald/Standard 10 ones. 'makes me quite envious, especially considering they are whitewalls!

Also the bootlid has been cut out at the rear. Tail-lights are of fiat millecento.

But yes, the owner certainly has done a good thing in getting this car back on the road.
