John, your Fiat looks simply stunning. Please accept my compliments on a fantastic restoration. I have a few queries:
Are the small side indicators on your car specific to this model ? could you please post a detailed picture of the same ?
I can see that you have a button lock on the dickey. What sort of handle do you have to lift the bootlid ?
The headlight rings on your car seem to have some sort of clamp / holder at the bottom. Is this specific only to the "speciale" , or can other Fiat 1100s have it too ? Mine's a 1962 Super select, and I had seen similar holders at chor bazaar, but was hesitant to buy them for my car. Comment please !
Also, some interior pictures too, please !:).
Best regards,
Ravi.

These side indicators were offered only on the DeLuxe, with these double side trims and two tone paint work. The upper portion of the assembly fits over the trim/patti. I have a set, shall show you when in Pune.

The boot lock was originally only this push button system. When new, the springs are tight and the boot lid pops open just by pressing the button. Of course they go weak with time so people used to fit auxiliary handles below. Alternatively grab onto the numberplate or number plate light. Make sure they are tightly fitted, or they will come out in your hand with prolonged use.:)

The extra little clips under the headlight rings are aftermarket locks, to prevent theft/make them fit tight.

The tail-lenses certainly are elegants', but not of the front sidelight- those seem to be of the older Millecento.

Nope, the older Millecento has lenses that fit with two screws, holes are in the lens for that. This may be from an earlier Jeep or thereabouts.

here is the meter console of elegant (ITALIAN)I found at a local shop.
the guy says it is in working condition and wants Rs.1500 for it.

That meter is not of Elegant, but of 58-64 Select/Super Select. Conditions seems below average, price steep.

Oh thats news to me Karl I thought Elegant and Selects shared the same meter console. Can you enlighten me on this preferably with pictures please. :D

1500 for that?? Tell him to find a cliff and jump off it. And the Elegant had a Horizontal patti meter but that was in the 57 model and had bigger lettering. KArl, plaease do correct me if i am wrong.

The meter being calibrated in Km/h is certainly from a '61-62 select or '62-64 Super Select. The elegant's meter, like the pre 61 selects, was always in miles. Also, the elegant's meter did not have a temperature gauge.
The meter does not seem to be in too good a condition. I have bought a similar one albeit in much better shape, for Rs. 700.
