Need Help in Restoring Mercedes 230S W111

Hi
Manav, this is your second post after a gap of almost 5 years about the same car.
Please post pictures if you can, also what is it exactly that needs work?

You have 'tried to restore it time and again' as in? Though I am not qualified to help you in any way, would be, like many reading this post, curious to know what is the pending work/issue/recurring problem with the car.

Hi

Body wise the car isn't in much need its just the mech. Issue that needs work on and ya the exterior detailing as in bumpers etc

Manav this is a record of sorts - The same query after 5 years. Wow. So what did the car do the last 5 years - parked in garage or was used occationally with the problems. Are the problems mechanical - getting heated, stopping when after some use or just not starting at all. Or are the issues related to some cosmetic part sourcing or something to do with electricals - AC, lights etc.

You would need to provide a lot more details for the merc experts to have a go.

Oh the car was in the garage all this time n still is lol there is a lot of mech. Work to b done and lot of exterior chrome work to b done and interiors to b done

Pending work:
1. Mechanical work
2. Exterior chrome
3. Interior

That will cover a lot of work, considering it has not been used for years. Including getting new tyres, battery and so on.

Do post more, detailed pictures of the car, once people see what shape it is in, they will be able to guide you towards the right person/place.

If you are the owner, why would you post a picture of the interiors through an unwashed window? The second picture is pretty useless.

Alternatively there are Team-BHP resources threads with recommended mechanics, garages, restorers and such like, if you read them up a bit, you'll sure know where to go.

Or PM owners of Mercedes cars for help and I'm sure they will respond back. If you want the newbie status revoked, quickly add a few posts, experiences and pictures of the 5 years that you have spent trying to get the car working.
Also if you are comfortable, share the name of the person who has not been able to get the car going. How difficult can it be? What is the challenge that you are facing?

And you have not shared an email id for anyone to contact you, so except the moderators, no one can help you. We can just write these posts :P
This whole site (and its members) is dedicated to help people. So use the coming weekend to get the work started.
