Simple - just get in touch with "V16" (Gogibhai) or "The Mole" (Amol). These guys are the best with Mercs.

Best regards,

Behram Dhabhar

230S thats a rare car in India, why dont you tell us a little more about the history of your car. Is it a left hand drive or a right hand drive? What is the nature of help you need? post some pics if you can. Team BHP is a great place to be. Dont worry we'll get your car on the road.

Hi Manav. As The Mole said, there are a lot of Mercedes enthusiasts on the forum to help you out. You have to spell out what you want. But first, please post some pics of the car and its history. Depends on what work your car needs, we will try to help you to the best of our ability. Chances are we are familiar with your car. I am aware of 5 230s cars in Mumbai which are restorable. two blue ones and one black, white and silver each.

V16, The Mole, Mr. Dhabhar will need your help/guidance in sourcing some rubber components for the 1960 Mercedes Ponton I have started work on. Once the body is sandblasted and primed I need new conical rubber subframe mounts. Any leads on where I can find these in Bombay would be a big help.

Thanks in advance

Manav1978,

You say you have a 230 S, so it must be a 1966 or later model. These were lovely cars, so please post some more details like drive position, auto or manual and some pictures.
I think these cars came with Zenith INAT carbs ( twin ) which were a real pain if the car was left unattended. Otherwise the engine and the rest of the running gear was a bulletproof piece of engineering.
Anyway best of luck and keep us posted on your progress
