Wow, didn't know that! Thank you Sir! Would CTC be available at chemist shops and such? Will ask around.

Sir, she looks beautiful! Nice to know she runs well too. Do make sure you add the rubber beadings around the toolboxes. Wish your friend Arjun many happy and troublefree miles!

Cheers,
Rahul

Guess even the Mahindra Beading should be able to hold good for it?
Have seen many folks use it for the Jawas And Yezdi Model B's as well.

I already have suitable beadings which will be fitted after clear coat and other minor jobs are completed

Today the bike was delivered to Arjun......some pics with beadings etc installed
yet to come are the Rear shocks which will look like the original ones but still have the provision for adjustment, the cable "patti" horn and front hub cover. The hours of no power are making getting items/things completed in time a real nightmare!!!

Collector Sir, all those control cables look wayyy too long! Is that the HT cable looping under the tank?

For the clutch cable, I just cut the outer sheath of the Roadking cable to fit, and got me an NOS Jawa cable for the front brake :D Yet to find the original throttle cable though.

Bike's looking really good! All the very best to Arjun, and wish him many happy miles!

Cheers,
Rahul

That's a nice looking Jawa. Somehow I always liked the Dual tone colour that the classic period bikes had.

Just one suggestion, why didn't you have the seat also dual tone? I guess it would have blended nicely with the overall look of the bike. Just my opinion.

Those are actually original cables, they look too long because??? Did you miss noticing that the "Patti" [Cable clamp/channel] that should run in front of the frame tube is missing??? Am fabricating the part and will put it in soon..when this is done the cables will "sit' correctly and not appear so long!!!!

The colour of the seat was the owners choice.Jawa never actually sold a bike in a two tone colour scheme [at least in India] though they were sold in two tone in Europe in the mid sixties.
Personally I would have gone with a little less red and Yes a 2 tone seat as well. But as this was a job done for a friend, the owners wishes and choices are the ultimate yardstick.

Nice work and well kept, thanks for sharing pictures. I liked the leg guard, where did you get them and how much they cost.

with a heavy heart i intend to sell my 1970 jawa. The very same bike which is listed in the start of this tread which my brother wrote. MEB2321
