This was sometime around in 2009.

Read about it here: The Road to Maharajah and Tom Tjaarda Equus 500

Covered in some other topic I guess.

This was a private event, 10 Mustangs cruising through India, planned and executed entirely on their own without the "help" of any local club. What a sight that must have been, and what sound effects could have been heard. Wonder if any DVD or such is available.
These guys had organised I believe two trailer trucks to carry any car in case of a breakdown. And they had hired local mechanics, one was from Nagpur. The story is that they could not get one car to run properly, till the mechanic called the guru of Nagpur for advice. It turned out that the plug wires were not in the correct order, once rectified the car ran.
Many of these cars were creations, Mustangs modified to appear more iconic. And that can be seen on some cars straightaway.
We should be more hospitable to encourage more such runs in India.

Indeed 10 Mustangs rolling is an awesome sight. But why the local registration of MH and that too a temporary registrations.
I guess all the 10 must have been LHDs.
