As i had earlier mentioned, i have ordered for few original spares. Will be now doing a running restoration and am trying my level best to put back 100% original stuff on the Bus.

Yes it looks nice, Wanted to put my Bug also in frame, but the time of delivery was getting near.

But the joy and pain of restoring 2 Buses in the span of 2 yrs is something more than wonderful.

My views after driving both the Bus

My 1971 Baywindow = 17 feet long and drives like a Whale, 1600cc engine delivers more power and is a comfy cruiser. Power brakes but still not as sharp. Big whaleing experience, tough on city traffic conditions. Very silent though.

Brat001's 1967 Delux SplitBus = 16 feet and is nimble like a dolphin. 1500 engine is actuall peppy. Ordinary drum brakes more effective than mine. Can be used as a daily drive. You can feel the crisp exhaust note.

Thanks Patrick, this is the same one, pic taken probably when my friend was getting a music system installed. I just RE- Restored it a couple of weeks ago.
