re: Can anyone identify this moped? EDIT - more obscure mopeds here.

May be a confusion prevails here, I have sourced two photographs form the net and hope it clarifies.

Pic #01 is the Explorer CS50 and the other is the mighty Silver Plus which were sold in good numbers and I still find one or two sometimes. I love the alloy wheels of them.

The next one..." Silver +" belongs to our friend " Shankar GP"( yet to find his place at Tbhp)
@ manish / jayD : shall we wait for our Anjan bro'..guess for sure he'll find out......or else "Lockheed" will do the job...I guess!!

Thanks powertwin, yes I have read that thread also, nice and original bike you have got. The best is my fav BSA Bond.

The Silver Plus pic I found out in some ad about this bike put for sale for 9000/- just trying to give some pictorial clarification of how these bikes look for those who didn't understand what is happening out here.

Wow! you Bullet is giving the new ones run for money, amazing color combo, though I am in love with the Yellow..Yellow...(in this case) amazing fellow but I love your 52/56 royal enfield a master piece, I used to have a 1959 Royal Enfield which I exchanged it for BSA BB31 plunger model Oh! what a beauty it was but unfortunately a mechanic robbed me and her and I lost her good new is that I still have another 1962 Royal Enfield which I am planning to restore in near future. Your bike ignited the fire.

It is as simple as an Arrow in front of the Bullet. Had TI cycles got to do something with this? was this just a prototype?. pl let us know more, this one is non-existent on the web & a greatest find of EI's covered up history.

" Sparrow "....would have been the right name.....one of my friend told!!!
Jokes apart !!
When Enfeild India was struggling to sustain its grip in Indian TWO wheeler market at mid '80s....as most of you aware of...went on to bring down European sub 100cc bikes like Explorer, Silver+, Mofa etc.,
They also developed this 30cc power-train ( Indigenous one....but had the Villiers essence though!!)
This engine has a interesting port set up(5 port), Majestic type of clutch set up.
@ Rennjit: You are half way right...yes "Tube Investments" (TI) made the Cycle parts, but entire Frame & outer to Enfield's Spec!!
* This is NOT a prototype....this was marketed in India @ Enfield India show rooms.....I was really , not even a single member couldn't just hint a spit, the word AAaa RRrrr OOoo WWW www>>>>
Will post my complete MOTORIZING (????) Kit of this ARROW, after getting down the Cartoon from by roof Bin..

Can anyone identify this moped? - more obscure mopeds here.

Can't say Obscure Moped..

Because the rear wheel is out of the frame and TVS XL's head light has found its place in this Moped's fork.
It is in its stock paint, 19" wheels, Spaco carb ( not in pic) & Suvega's Exhaust (stock exhaust )
Twist & go 49cc Desi Product (Moped)..Here>>>
My recent addition to my Moped collection, yet to be restored though

Can any one identify this Moped??

Re: Can anyone identify this moped? EDIT - more obscure mopeds here.

Does anybody knows some info on net or having latest photos/pamphlets of following 03 mopeds?

1. "Remona" - In 1979 one of friend's father was using this. It was in dual color. White and sky blue( typical of Lambretta dual tone scheme). The shape and style was very similar to Post No#11(By Anjan sir), last Victoria moped photo on page 1.

2."Cadi 50"- 1st moped with four stroke engine. Look and style was very similar to Kelvinator's "Avanti Garelli" and in silver/grey colour. This was with my neighbour and 3-4 times I have driven during 1987-1990.

3. "Pizzaz" - This was modified "Laxmi-50" by Kirloskar group. As height of laxmi was like 24" cycle and was inconvinient to sit. For this "Pizzaz" they have reduced the height comparable to Luna/TVS 50 keeping everything same. This moped also I have driven for more than 5-6 times during 1985-89. It was in silver/grey colour.

re: Can someone identify this motorcycle?

I am sure it is not a twin, maybe a twin exhaust like the Jawas and Yezdis that Escorts tried to replicate and never could with their 175 CC commuter engine.

Anyway, that pic is anything but clear. Looks more like a scooter with that kind of GC.
