Since I used up the 30 images limit here is a list of the cars in Auto World.

These pictures were captured with a Canon F1 on color slide film, by Mr. Urs Muller in the year 2000.

In 1978 I was fortunate to see the restoration shop on Malabar hill. I will attach a few images I took with my film camera. I was able to see him at his office for a very short visit. This is the first time I am attaching images. Let us see if and how it works. I have some information on most of the cars, but do not know how to insert text before the images, yet.

I was told that "The 1948 Daimler limousine (BMX4472) was only one of two cars in existence at that time. The other limo was owned by Queen Elizabeth". ," It is a 7 seater, has electric windows and electric dividing partition & it is black in color". We could not go inside the garage.

1959 Jag was automatic; MMF1937 Phantom III was a V12 with dual (24) spark plugs. The 1918 was acquired on 8-23-78, just days before these images were taken; in the original unrestored condition. If you hover over my images, you can see that image names have the year and cars...Our taxi driver saw me taking pictures of a stranded Morris on marine drive, so he took us there for a jaw dropping visit. They had multiple people working on more than dozen cars. All in bunian and lungees. The garage below on Malabar Hill road was full of cars, locked behind metal gates.

Yes, there were two Mysore Daimler DE36 cars that were originally built for the cancelled Royal Tour. The convertible is with Bhogilal, the saloon / limousine in the Manjusha Collection (Hegde).


The Bhogilal / Mysore Daimler has a MM(G?)-2727 registration.

BMX-4472, like I mentioned is a Bentley 3.5 Litre (ex-Bhavnagar).

My apologies for identifying this R-R 20/25 (ex-Mandi) as chassis GTK41. It should be GKT41.
