This kind of Morris 8 Tourers were always referred to in mechanic lingo as "Cut Door Morris"

This example looks to be in quiet an original state going by the presence of the trafficator slots just behind the door.

In cars used hard over the years this opening is usually closed up.

Those wheel caps are not the real thing though along wwith that lantern style lamp and the horn.

Please do post pics of the engine and dash.

This type of car should have one of those SU electrical fuel pumps mounted on the cowl

sure-more pictures

If any one interested,I can give the dealer's/middleman's mobile number and email address.
10Lakhs is not a price to be asked for.
Yes,most probably that car was sold to another man who sold it after minor restoration around 3.5 Lakhs earlier this year. Now,he have done some good restoration.
Morris Tourer is sold around 5500 GB Pounds, with nearly all original replaced parts in England. Also, they are restored by under guidence of specialist automobile Engineers.
I donot know, where these men get those green india rubber horn bulbs(with a small rectangular yellow sticker)-they use them for all models and brands, from RR,Merc to Austin.I saw some horns thing like those in some State Buses in West Bengal.
This man has gone insane about the price
One can get totally unused 0 mile reading car even at a lesser price abroad.

I was fortunate to have the use of a similar Morris for some time when I was in college. It was an earlier model with the upright radiator. A very useable car.
10L is definitely not the correct price. Also interior side cladding is to be done. My guess is 5 to 6 L for a restored car.
Such cars are almost always cheaper abroad, but you cannot get them in, imports are not yet allowed.

Hope you find a suitable one soon.

Yes Mr.Harit, around 5 should be the right price.
I am keeping my fingers crossed now and waiting for another one. There is nothing to hurry up now!
Import is not allowed for vintage cars from UK.Though,I can buy it there and also can ride it,it will not be as fun as to ride here,in India, keeping it as a second choice for next three and half years, for personal reason.
Unfortunately, these vintanges can be exported to abroad from India,it is very sad,no, Mr.Harit?

I tend to agree with you Abhishek, its definately not worth it, IMHO the bodyline is off and now with the interior pics So many things are off, even the engine bay detailing is a hotch potch. Forget this car. As i said earlier I was offered a restoration car about 2 yrs ago for way under two lakhs move on Buddy. It was rough but after spending about 3 it would have been a lovely car. Unfortunately there was a slight botch up with the whole deal (V16 do you remember)
