Otherwise, convinces factored in, (and you trust a website), it's always better to have it shipped to the address (Provided there is free shipping).

Thanks a lot, I have to agree here. I ordered a Nexx helmet last year from FC Moto and got it delivered to India. The process was smooth, I paid customs and taxes upon arrival at the local post office and picked it up. When I opened the box, I noticed that one of the cheek pads had minor cosmetic damage. When I raised it to them, they offered a full refund if I returned the helmet or a partial refund of 20% if I kept the helmet. Since the damage was not too drastic, I opted for a 20% refund.

Now if I can trouble you with one more advice since you mentioned stores have discount sections. Would you have any particular store recommendations in Germany? Or anyone else reading this post can suggest?

I have been using Gadsyll short boots and long boots and pretty happy till date.

Hope this helps!

I'm on the fence for getting the Gadsyll 9 WR shoes. Usage would be majorly for city riding. Since monsoons are right around the corner in Mumbai, wanted to know how good/bad is the water resistance of the shoes in the 2 scenarios below.
1 - Walking in 1-2 inches deep water. Assuming any higher levels are definitely going to let water inside the shoes.
2 - Riding in heavy downpour with rain paints covering the top opening of the shoes on the shin. Does water seem in from toe or bridge area?

Is anyone aware of a new age brand which does custom pants, or has shorter inseams while not being baggy touring variety stuff.

I know Viaterra does customised pants for their Spencer line. Do check their website.

I now have the 7 and 11. 7 is used extensively for in city riding. Haven't used 9 so can't comment. Plus haven't used in the rain so that also can't comment.

Brands may say yada yada but the real test will be the Mumbai rains. Till I go through 1 cycle don't want to comment or misguide folks especially on their waterproof nature.

Hey Mik,

Been in a similar situation. Would suggest you to have a look at Revit and Klim gears. They are available with regular sizes and a short version as well. The difference between the regular and short sizes is the inseam length.

For absolute custom gear, have a look at the Viaterra Munro jacket and pants. They are made to ones measurement. https://viaterragear.com/pages/munro

Hello BHPians,

I'm in the market for a riding boot, and the Alpinestars Supertech R vented boots ticks all my requirement boxes. My second choice would be the SMX-6 V2 vented.

I've tried on the Dainese Torque 3 Out boots at Orion motors Bangalore. I did not like it because the fitment to my feet was odd and the boot did not flex at all in the up-down direction. Moreover there was little to no ventilation on the color of my choice.

I've tried on the SMX-6 V2 (the Triumph branded one) as well at Keerthi. The boots were super comfortable compared the Torque 3. Pictures for reference.

But the problem is that they have only the plain black and non-vented version available with no scope to source other models or colors.

So here I end up with superbikestore(dot)in and they have quoted a decent price for the color and model of my choice. I see a few references to them in the thread.

My question to the community is, is superbikestore(dot)in a legit supplier and if someone from here have sourced gear from them in the recent past. If yes, how was the purchase experience?

2. Touring pants - 6-8K. Again I say, check Rynox Storm Evo. I bought for 7500 approx. I even have a Tarmac riding pant bought for about 6K but they are not suitable for long rides. I don't think they can be your stand alone.pants.
3. Boots - I have seen Amaroq online but never seen in flesh nor tested. So can't comment. Long boots range from 8k -40K. I have been using Gadsyll short boots and long boots and pretty happy till date. I also tried the RE E-39 mid rise boots and they are good

Just a small correction I don’t need a jacket as I already have Royal Enfield V3 and one air gt riding jacket both with level 2 protectors (none have chest pocket or protector) I only need shoes and Pants within 20-25k

Thanks !!

You can check out Rev-It brand pants, they have 3 variety for each waist size, as Long, Short & Regular, try them out, you may get lucky.

Another alternative is to go with Viaterra Spencer riding pants, which is completely customizable, you can either take the measurements on your own (details available on their website, also have on-call help) or walk into any of their authorized dealers and they would help with the exact measurements.
The only downside with this one is the waiting period (but its worth the delay), it may take anywhere between 3 to 6 weeks based on where you are put up; as there would be one initial shell version that they would send you for fitment check. So there would be 3 shipping involved - Viaterra to you, you to Viaterra back and then finally delivery from them to you.

Hello all, is there a reliable third party website or a physical store in Bangalore to buy Viaterra products? I have been trying to buy Viaterra Grid gloves, but it is always sold out on their website.

I bought my Viaterra Tundra full gauntlet gloves from Gear n Ride in HSR layout. They have online store as well.

You can try Lets Gear up, Gear n Ride, Orion Motors Koramangala etc. all of them usually maintain stocks of Viaterra products.

I have done ~1800kms road trip on my Gadsyll and they turned out to be amazing, hit heavy rains for about an hour on the ride, no issues. Haven’t used them in city rides.

Looks like the RE-Rev'it gear has made its way to stores.

While I still don't see any RE-Rev'it gear on the RE website, I see the new Darcha pants are available for sale on another website.

Going by the images of the jacket, it looks like a minor variation of the Revit Sands 4 H2O jacket and that too at almost half the price. Man are we getting spoilt for choices.
