Websites as these do care of it all, bro. Cost is something that you need to be wary of. Dont want you to be ending up paying shipping cost more than the product cost :uncontrol

boots don't have to be too showy since il be using on a daily basis.

gloves can be leather or not as long as it keeps my palms fresh.

another doubt is,my shoe size in India is size 10,what would be the corresponding US size?

I think you should check Alpinestars SMX1 boots, they are good riding boots and goes well with your casual wear also.

For gloves Alpinestars SMX2 is a nice everyday wear, its a textile glove, breathes well. If you need more protection go in for the leather gauntlets, there are tons of choices starting from $100 upwards, like you can get a basic Alpinestars SP2 for around $110. I also like the Knox Handroid gloves, they are made of kangaroo leather, offers high protection, easy to wear and looks super cool too. But they are pretty pricey.

I'm not much of a Dianese person, so my suggestion are based on my experience :D

I have quite a bad experience with this pair of gloves. The gloves got torn within 6 months/ 8000Km use. I found the leather used, to be so thin that its getting torn easily. More embarrassing is that my left hand thumb is having a hole.

Should I bargain hard ?

Not sure if Helmet Paradise stocks them. You could also try Orion Motors, which is a Yamaha dealer near the Forum Mall.

1900 bucks is the old price and i guess the new prices are a bit higher now.

You could also consider the Spartan gloves alternatively. They are very good too.

Quick question after checking the posts here -

Background : I booked a bike as a place holder to get back to riding after 15 years -

(felt uncomfortable with the tall gearing of ktm 390 - so booked a 200 ns )

Question -

what are the basic gear for safety that i need -

Looking at helmet ( mandatory in chennai atleast )
Knee guard
Gloves

any thing that i am missing in the basics ? in blr this week so planning to check a few outlets here , thought would ask the Gurus before I am guided into buying by the show owner

Always better to invest in riding jacket then feel sorry at later stage.

Places in bangalore to check out.

Better avoid any other place for riding gears in bangalore.

In addition to what rk_sans has suggested, you can check out Spartan riding gear in Chennai. Details here. They have 2 shops in Chennai and the products are very durable and reliable.

Please buy a helmet that has DOT, SNELL or ECE certification.

But on my revives atleast, the way in which it is tucked inside is so that it digs into my fingernails. It hasnt gone away even after a year of use, so look out for such issues when purchasing gloves. Odd that the primal gloves of same size were a better fit for me than the revive and had no such problems.
