| ![]() First, the Nexon and now Altroz also scores 5 stars in NCAP! ![]() This is indeed a heck of an achievement for a carmaker who is NOT the market leader, unlike MS who instead of setting benchmarks in the safety factor, keeps on asking everyone "Kitna deti hai? !!! I see an open road for Tata ahead with a lot of success ![]() |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Wow, Tata does it again with the Altroz! A 5 star safety rating. In my opinion, this can be it's USP against the segment mates. Well done Tata, well done!! ![]() The only hatchback currently to have 5* rating now. |

| ![]() That's great news!! I hope the people badmouthing Tata as a car manufacturer have got their answer now. I had heard long ago that safety is the first priority of Volvo, today we may also say the same thing for Tata. Still I believe the only weak link, sales & service, should improve and the numbers should come in naturally. |

That is the point which i was trying to make. Thanks. Also, about you asking who has posted reservations about the product. Many. There was one specific member which i will not name, but he certainly had a very bad opinion about the altroz before it was even revealed calling it a dud in the making. | ![]() Really impressive. Now buyer's turn to reward Tata for their efforts. I feel this era marks the beginning of real change in the fate of TaMo. |

| ![]() Amazing Job TATA. Please market it loudly! ![]() ![]() I sincerely hope you get rewarded for this. 20 years back Hyundai challenged MSIL and made MSIL cars better. I hope and pray you challenge everyone and make our roads safer for passengers. PS: Can we spare this one thread from TATA bashing on how they are bad in this and bad in that! We have numerous threads for that. Thanks in Advance! |

| ![]() Tata has done it again. It shows how serious they are about the safety standards of their car. I saw the Altroz in Kozhikkode showroom. It looks great. Tata really has a winner in their hands if they market it properly. I still wonder why are they not able to sell their cars even though all their new cars are promising. |

| ![]() I hope they market this very well. They need to showcase it at every major dealership about the safety Duo - altroz and Nexon both with 5 stars and maybe a good caption to follow it "Ask kitna safety he instead of kitna deti he" Last edited by SaiSW : 15th January 2020 at 16:59. |

| ![]() Congrats to Tata Motors and Altroz for achieving a 5 star GNCAP rating. There were many videos I remember seeing where the reviewers explained the tough build of the car and it's road holding capability, ride quality and confidence inspiring brakes. These traits should be made aware to prospective customers along with safety to bring out the USPs of the car. Will definitely test drive the Altroz just to experience the car while waiting for Nexon facelift. |

| ![]() This is undoubtedly a very good performance.. 2 of their cars scoring 5 stars in crash ratings ![]() If I was looking for a new car now, I would have definitely considered the Altroz simply for its looks alone, this 5 Star rating is like an extra feather in it's cap. Apologies if this has been mentioned before and I missed this, but I do have 1 question. I think I read in other threads that the Global NCAP guys buy the lowest variant of the car from the market. The manufacturer has no role in that. And I believe this has not gone on sale yet. So did Tata send 1 car to Global NCAP specifically for this test? |

Infractions: 0/1 (4) | ![]() ![]() With overall Adult Occupant score of 16.13 and Child Occupant score of 29, Altroz became the highest scored Made In India and Made for India car overtaking Nexon! Officially this is the Safest car from Tata! ![]() "The bodyshell was rated as stable and it was capable of withstanding further loadings. Footwell area was rated as stable." That's the one thing I always look for! Last edited by K_Drive : 15th January 2020 at 17:43. |

| ![]() You just cannot help but be proud of Tata Motors. By focusing on safety they are slowly but steadily going to change the rules of the game. Add to this their foray into EV's. They are really focusing on core areas. If I were part of the marketing team at TATA, I would be publicizing and marketing the NCAP ratings to the ends of the earth and back. True, that majority of Indian car buyers will focus on mileage and price before safety, but TATA can really start educating buyers and use this as an USP to sell their cars. More power to you TaMo! |

| ![]() Congratulations to the designers and engineers at Tatas for playing it well. It seems several critical components are hot-stamped else 5 Star rating would have been difficult. Way to go Tata - Price it well, bring slush-box right from launch and prepare better to welcome buyers. |

| ![]() Phenomenally proud of Tata: This is coming from a Tata naysayer. I now genuinely hope that Tata advertises this achievement, especially to possible Baleno and i20 buyers, the latter of which many would have expected to score 4 stars or greater, but scored just 3. I have been very critical of Tata when it comes to quality and powertrains, but I'm very happy to say that this result has converted me into a well wisher for Tata, of course also due to the 5 star score of the Nexon. ![]() Just fix your dealers and service now Tata, and I will definitely convince my parents to replace their 2009 i20 with a Tata! ![]() Really happy to see engineering of automobiles in India is improving.
