Please find the reason for this in the quoted post. Global NCAP Secretary-General Alejandro Furas explains the reason for publishing the rating for the older model at 00:06:31 in the presentation.

They started selling it in sept 2021 in Korea and will be globally available in 2022 including India market. I believe that is yet to be tested on Latin NCAP

Thanks, yeah it's clear now. Once Mods merged the threads, it's even more clearer from the new opening post.

With some good reviews coming in globally, Tuscon is one csuv that have quite a bit waiting folks

This is the previous Gen car that too with only 2 airbags and no ESP as standard, in comparison the previous Gen Tucson (the one currently on sale) in India gets 6 airbags and ESP as standard in all trims!

Chevrolet Tracker pretensioner catches fire during Latin NCAP testing; seatbelt buckles fail to release after crash preventing rescue. Model used in publication will have recall implemented. Tweet

Re: Latin NCAP 2021: Peugeot 208, Hyundai Tucson

2022 Latin American Hyundai Tucson zeroes Latin NCAP again but reaches a solid three star result after improvements (side and curtain airbags + ESC + speed assistance): Press Release

Further improvements (four stars) possible if production volume of safety assist tech improved (tech already tested and has reportedly performed well).

Presentation:

Pre-update Hyundai New Tucson:
Adult occupant protection: 50% (2 stars)
Child occupant protection: 5% (0 stars)
Vulnerable road users: 48% (5 stars)
Safety assist: 7% (0 stars)
Overall: 0 stars

Updated Hyundai New Tucson:
Adult occupant protection: 82% (5 stars)
Child occupant protection: 78% (4 stars)
Vulnerable road users: 48% (5 stars)
Safety assist: 56% (3 stars)
Overall: 3 stars

Indian New Tucson has always been specced like the updated one but the result should not be used for Indian-market Tucson units.
