Thanks for all the replies. So it looks like roads are good all the way till Rampura. We have decided to take the Bangalore - Tumkur - Hiriyur - Challakere - Rampura - Hyatt route. We hope to cross Bangalore by afternoon and hopefully traffic will be less as it is a holiday on 1st September.

We are still thinking of completing the whole stretch in a day and reach hotel by around 7 pm. We will plan to halt in Tumkur if we get delayed.

Will update you on how it goes 😃

If you see you are going past 7 on to this road I wont advise the Ramapura-Hyatt option. In broad day light its a nice drive. But people around that area dont recommend this in the dark. Its narrow single lane secluded road. And in some places it traverses wooded regions too.
