Hey, glad you've got back!

I slipped mentioning this in my earlier post.

While at Srinagar (or maybe even before, don't recollect exact point), we got off NH58 and connected to SH121.

We crossed Pauri and then realized we'd lost our way since we didn't remember crossing Pauri on our way to VOF. Google Maps and even GPS showed us in no-man's land!

At Pauri, we asked people and they showed us the way to Devaprayag.

SH121 is very good with freshly-laid tarmac but has about 4-5 manageable landslide aread.

Rudraprayag - Devaprayag is about 40kms longer thru' SH121 as compared to NH58 but it avoids crucial points on NH58 which are terrible (presumably where you were stuck too).

The foll. kind of news and articles are common of late :

Rain, landslide wreak havoc in U'khand, HP - The Times of India

Doesn't seem like a very good time to head in that direction.

Any news on the Yamuna near Tehri? There was a cloud-burst last week; the water level is dangerously high too.
