I hope NH25 (EW Corridor) from Kanpur to Lucknow is completed in the next six months. I am now a pucca sceptic. Take NH25 from Kanpur to Jhansi, Kanpur Jhansi is near perfect except for about 2km at Kalpi, but the way back is rutted all over, courtesy overloaded trucks with sand and gravel. There is big money for the local mafiosi in this.

Seriously though, why not just finish on priority the many many incomplete projects? Or is it because the tenders for those have already been awarded?

Agree that Delhi Jaipur was a mess but I have seen more work being done in last six months than in past 3-4 years. Even the Chandigarh Delhi NH1 has moved ahead at a great speed and only a few side turns are pending and most of the Karnal strech is now complete and only a few sections are pending for which work is going on.
I was surprised to see over bridge construction half way through in last 3 months on derabassi junction and work progressing at break neck speed.

North South are well connected through air, rail and road but East West are not. Today someone in Delhi can easily think of driving down to Mumbai or Goa without a hitch but only dare devils can plan a trip from Jaipur to Kolkatta by road.
East west connectivity is MUST - from all angles - social, economic, defence and national integration. We have to allow people to mingle together more often. This is a great move which has great benefit for the nation.

Why not all IT companies open their Development centers in North East?

Whether it is possible / realistic or not, whether it will be completed in time or not, whether it will bear the weather or not - ONE MORE road, is a good news for T-Bhpians, right?

Moreover, if this road is completed, it will be a challenging route in the sense that it goes through so much varied atmospheres geographically and hence a must to drive.
