i have an ICE problem...i can NEVER get the perfect sound for all tracks ! so its constant fidgeting with the menus/controls !! when i stop at a signal or when i'm parked, it gets worse !! people always get irritated and go "just let the @#$%@# track play dammit...it sounds fine...!!" jimi is shredding his fender and suddenly someone wants to listen to 50cents problems...and they expect me not to tweak ?! i think i have the Obsessive Tweaking Disorder !!

hmmm my personal quirk....
If i am following/behind someone on the highway i tend to maintain his speed wether its 20 or its 120.......
i tend to use my indicator to change lanes and the passerby thinks that im giving him space.

My quirks :
Can't resist stoppping and giving way for women pedestrians, even if they are not at a zebra crossing.
Absolutely no valet parking for my car.

Clear signs of OCD, ashok.

Hey zak, any special reason for doing this ?

Checking oil on a daily basis? Man, that is some obsession.

Pls let her know that you are not the only one - there's a mob out here, paranoid abt so many other things than something as sane and courteous about being considerate abt kids ..

I don't get valet parking done either. Even if I have to walk back (quite) a bit. This is something my friends needle me about (when we all go out together -- I'm the official transporter when we go out), but I love my car (and the stuff inside) too much for a few minutes convenience.

Its Anup, not Ashok

I'm paranoid about kids on cycles (everywhere) too. Of all the most unpredictable things on the roads (and off the roads), kids on cycles take the cake. And if they fall down all by themselves and you are within even 10 meters of them it is always your fault. It pays to be extra paranoid about this. I wouldn't call it a quirk.

Hey condor, I think you got it wrong. I am paranoid about the kids banging into my parked car, while they ride their cycles around the apartment. They drive at insane speeds and my car is parked at a turning - hence the paranoia. I do tell them to ride slowly in the interest of their safety, but main motive is to keep my baby safe from them.

My quirks :

- The tyres HAVE to be totally clean n black, even if the rest of the car isnt all that clean.
- Muttering abuses at silly 2 wheeler riders.. which evokes a response from wifey as to what i get out of it.
- No valet parking for me ... Gave it for valet parking once at Amoeba here in Blore, and actualyl visited their parking lot a few mins later to check if the car was alright...!!
- Use the remote entry to have the hazard lights flashing when i am approaching the car.. ala the lights on a flight.

Crazy??? U tell me..!!

I get irritated with bikers riding in the middle lane on the highways.

All though I have remote locking, I check all four doors even after car has been locked, then I walk for few mins, come back again to check if the ORVMs are closed and again check the door.

I don't like to park my car next to the car which is not atall clean.

The parking is always reverese. Even if reverse parking is difficult at some place, I will still give a try.

Wow Its nice to know Am not alone.

- Number 1 Quirk has to be Locking of doors, even if am sure & some one asks me whether I have lokced the doors or not I will go all the way back to check besides the fact taht I lock my car atleast twice everytime.

- I kinda hate it when people just open the door & get out as soon as the car halts I always tell them to atleast wait till I switch it off(As it opens the doors) btw i take some time to switch off my car as I turn off the ICE & headlights before switching the ignition off for which my friends are not willing to wait, they say "why does it take so long for you to switch off the engine?"

- Parking perfectly used to be a quirk but it aint no more though I do it sometimes.

- in the morning always start the engine first & then place the bag, open the gate, etc etc. need to let the car idle for atleast 40-50 seconds.

- check the pressure (visual inspection) of all the tyres.

- adjust the rear view mirror & the side view mirrors (thanx to the electronic side view mirrors its not a pain)

- my driving seat is always 2 knotches reclined than the default position.

- always keep the hazard lights on while on the highways.

there is no hard fact to back my habit but i believe it makes my vehicle more noticable (without detracting like the red beacons) to the traffic.
