Re: Lodging for domestic help during travel?

I think these trips are only once in a while, right? 1500 Rs per day doesn't seem too much to have the added luxury of a person to look after your child on a long trip of ten days. You will have more time to relax and explore and make your holiday even more worthwhile. Small children are a bit of a handful on trips and you will be thankful to have her with you when you are tired .

Re: Lodging for domestic help during travel?

On trips where we take our driver along, we mostly lodge him at a nearby Oyo which doesn't cost more than 500-600 per night, but he is treated really well with a private bathroom and air conditioning etc, a far better feeling than the Driver accommodations of even good hotels.

For female helps however, I suggest the extra bed option as the most hassle free option, it's cost effective, safe and almost always helps when you have children/elderly people around.
