I stayed here in 2005.
Bambolim Beach Resort ~~

Found it quite good and very well located.
The beach however was not very great.

Me too have a flight back to Hyderabad on Sunday ( Feb 24 evening). I am game for a hard night's partying on Saturday ( Feb 23).

Hi
I too am taking a vacation in Goa from the 14th March till 22nd March 08.

I am thinking(though not finalised) of staying at the Hotel Goan Heritage its there in the Calangute Area

Their charges start from 3300 +15% tax for the standard room and 3900 +tax for the deluxe . I tried hard but they do not give any discounts even though I am staying for 9 days.

If anyone has stayed they please give your comments on the hotel, staff, beach area etc.

This will be my first time in goa. Any tips advise will be highly appreciated.

Harjeev, 3.3K/day for that hotel sounds quite expensive. It does not even seem like a star hotel. Please visit makemytrip.com and select hotels from there, you will get a way better deal.

Well we are planning on searchin for a place to stay after we reach thr...hopefully in calangute baga stretch.

Its a 3 star hotel and the facilities look good. The MTV roadies 5.0 episode was shot there.

Awesome. Lets meet at some coffee shop or something on Sunday evening around Panaji? Rohan you have suggestions? It would be great to do a hard partying session and all on 23rd but that time slot is reserved :).

I'm PMing you guys my cell number.

Its a 3 star hotel and from the reviews i have read on TripAdvisor appears to be a decent hotel but what I am planning to do is book there maybe for 1 or 2 days and then will try to approach other hotel in the area. Maybe I can get something cheaper and better. If not I will extend my stay at Goan Heritage

Like dadu said that MTV roadies was also shot there I thought maybe to explore and plus its right on the beach.
The main thing is that as I am going with my wife & kid I dont want to get stuck on the road woithout the reservations. Additionally makemytrip.com are asking 5.5K approx for the same room. So it makes sense to book it directly.

If you are going to Calungute, stay at the GTDC hotel. Its on the beach and is a good place to stay.

Called up their number on the goa tourism website.

Yes its promoted by the Goa Tourism but they too are asking about 3800+tax. And when I asked what star category is thei hotel they said that no category. But mentioned that they do have a swimming pool. What the guy meant I failed to understand and was vey eager to put the phone down. r

what price did you pay for the package. Fort Aguada should be expensive I think.

If you want cheap economical rooms that are clean then try La Bamba Beach Resort that is next to tourist cottages at Calangute beach. Phone numbers are 0832-2276108 and 0832-2277320. I have stayed here many a times and have been always happy.

Well you're happy most of the time anyway!! Question is, did the resort contribute to the happiness in any way or was it the Blood in Alcohol stream ratio inducing the happiness like usual?? :D :D
