You may try A/C EXECUTIVE ROOMs @ Haritha (from AP Tourism). It's around Rs. 500 pricier than the next lower rate but totally worth it.

Dear BHPians,

We would be traveling to Srisailam from Hyd Airport with 2 senior citizens. Need some guidance for the following

1. Breakfast options (preferably local tasty food) - If this is enroute it is even better
2. Any recommendations for bio breaks enroute
3. Would be grateful if someone can share the latest road conditions between RGIA Hyd to Srisailam

I did a hyd Srisailam trip yesterday. Regarding food, after you leave the airport road, you can proceed towards Novotel side and join Srisailam road.
After you cross ORR(underpass) towards Srisailam, there are number food truck kind of food which sells good and tasty breakfast. There would be lot of floating crowd and can expect decent breakfast.
Kadtal and Amangal, you can expect 2/5 rated breakfast.
2. Hiway Tea Point - mannanur has excellent tea and coffee store along Indian style very well maintained washroom. 5/5 for that.
There are numerous decent Tea points which are like Tea Time, Tea world etc places where you'll get decent options again.

3. Road is excellent from Hyderabad to Srisailam. You can drive up and down easily. Once you cross Dindi and getting into the hills, there are dozens of speed breakers where you need to get into gear 1 else you'll hear a big thud from suspension.
Several small size continuous bumpers(5-7 in number) also present on the roads.
Similarly freshly laid rumble trips also forces you to reduce speed.

3A. After the river is crossed you enter AP, road isn't good till you enter State highway.


One word of caution, this is a 2 lane undivided road seperated by a dotted line. Not many goes till end of road to give proper space .
Importantly, till Kalwakurty exit, there are many orange color separators which suddenly come up on road.
Don't overtake if you can't find clear road as these will surprise you.

Hello BHPinas,

I am planning a ride to Srisailam from Hyderabad with my friends on 21-22 October weekend. We are 7 people with 4 bikes (for now ). The itinerary is not fixed yet but we want to do something interesting in the trip.

While searching on the internet (Telangana Tourism website) I found there is a river cruise from Srisailam to Somasila and Somasila to Srisailam. Then I found out we have to buy the 'Tour Package' from Hyderabad which includes bus transport from Hyderabad. I also have searched if there is anything similar without opting for the Tour Package but did not find anything.

I would like to add the Cruise experience to the trip, if anyone had done the trip recently please help me with some information. If there is such service available, I would like to know how we can do the booking?
Can we transport bikes from Srisailam to Somasila on the same boats?
What are the costs?

Also, if you have something interesting we can add to the trip, please let let me know.

I am planning a road trip to Srisailam temple next week from Hyderabad. Any updates on the road conditions now? And as we are starting around 6:30 AM, what are the options for breakfast and lunch? We plan to return on the same day.
