Hello BHPians,

I have plans to go to Wildernest this December and was planning to take my 3-Series (330i) from Bangalore to Wildernest, Goa. However my enthusiasm has been dampened by several well travelled friends advising me that the roads are quite bad after Belagavi till Wildernest.

Can anyone who has travelled along that route recently shed some light into how the road conditions are, so I can take a decision? While I don't mind bad roads, I don't want to end up in a situation where I regret taking the car there, and there might be potential for serious damage.

It would be great if people on the forum can let me know so I can plan accordingly. Any and all advice is much appreciated.. :-)

I had travelled from Hubli to Panjim via Chorla Ghat in May 2023. All the taxi drivers i spoke to in Hubli asked me to avoid this route and take the Anmod route. However as I was in a 4 X 4 I took the Chorla route. It was in a bad condition and will be a challenge if you are not in a 4 X 4. And the monsoons would have made it worse. Call Wildernest and check with them. If you are in a 4 X 4, go ahead.

That is good info indeed. Looks like it's best not to risk a road trip. I will plan other arrangements to reach there.
