Getting a Singapore Visa is the easiest, why take a chance when u reach there? My suggestion is just take the Visa from here, you dont even have to go to the consulate.

Transit visa at Singapore airport is very easy to get. All you need is to fill up a form and submit it to emigration authorities. In turn, they will stamp your passport and give you a small paper, be careful about it. If you lose, you will have to answer lot of questions from intelligence, authorities etc..

Its very easy.
Got sing visa for 15 rajababues in flat 72 hours.

you should contact travel agent [ it will be good and cheaper if that agent is on singapore high commission's trusted agent panel].
fill the form along covering letter stating your purpose of visit, 2 photo 35x45 mm, six month bank statement, copy of return ticket, rs 1500 [s$30+ agent fees], thats it.
You need not to visit embassy or high commission office..
you should apply not earlier than one month before your departure.
