Hi,

I am planning to go for a trek to Pushpagiri next week and could someone give me driving directions from Bangalore to Somvarpet and then onwards to Bidalli (a village 20km from Somvarpet) and there to Shanta Mallikarjuna temple of Kumarahalli which is where the trek starts?

I searched the forum but did not find any information.

This is just down the road from Chandan's estate, if I'm not mistaken.

One option is to take the route we took for the Sakleshpura OTR:

Once you take the LHS road near the fort, keep going straight - this is SH8. After Yeslur (Swarga Resorts board etc.), my guess is you need to take a right to get onto SH27 (Madikeri Road) - this will take you to Somavarpet town.

Another option is to take NH48 till Channarayapatna and then branch off (SH8) towards Holenarsipur and Arkalgud and then left onto SH27 (Madikeri Road).
