Can anyone suggest good Hotel in Sangli for a one night stay prefarably on the Sangli Road.
Also info needed on hotels in Kolhapur near NH204

Karnataka Forest Department :: Forest Rest Houses , this has got details of all the forest guest houses in Karnatake. Though rates are not mentioned, as you all know they are cheaper on the pockets. Hope the information help our nature lovers and off-roaders

We enjoyed our stay all along our 18-day, 6148-km long mega trip spanning across 7 states of India. We chose the accommodation based on our past experience and also ratings of tripadvisor.in. My priority was secured car parking for Cara Mia Fiat Linea, but not the distance from the city centre. I made reservations online in all the places almost one month in advance. Ginger Hotels give maximum discount for online reservations made before 15 days. Here are the details.

@J.Ravi,

Thats commendable putting those hotel details which I am sure would be helpful to others planning travels in those areas. Looking specifically for secured car access shows how much you care about your Linea. Kudos to you for that.

Looking at the bookings done at Ginger Hotels, I am sure they must have given you an esteemed membership card or something. :D

Thanks, ghodlur, for the compliments.

@J.Ravi, superb compliation, you seem to have had a great trip.
I have stayed @ Jaiwana in Udaipur, really liked the place + 1 on that.
And yeah the roads are really narrow man

Thank you, neofromcapone, for kind words.

Anyone heading to Agra should try Palmstay. Which has parking for 5 cars inside the premises and is just behind the TDI Mall on Fatehabad Road - the place is called palmstay.
www.palmstay.comThe place belongs to a Team BHPian

Please suggest a good hotel (considering budget < 1K & preference for good locality and clean toilets), in Trichur to stay with family for 1 night. Looking for a double bedroom only.

PLACE: Nashik (Nasik), Maharashtra
Hotel: Hotel Raj Mahal
Contact numbers - 0253-2580501/2319770 / 09657183959
Rates: Rs.800 ~ 1400
Location: Opp. Old Central Bus Stand, Sharanpur Rd
Review: Excellent Food in their Pure Veg Restaurant, Excellent Service, Desktop with BSNL Internet near Reception (No WiFi though), Same Day Laundry
Cons: Check out at 12 noon, Noise from road / Bus Stand. Try getting rooms on the other side to counter this.
Stayed there on 18th and 19th Dec 2010
Nearby Places: Kalaram Mandir (2Km), Seeta Gumpha and Panchvati (5 banyan trees) (2KM), Mukti Dham (10Km, Close to Nasik Rd Rly Stn), Triambakeswar (30 Km), Saptashrungi (Goddess with 18 Hands above 7 Hills) - 60 Km

DELHI guys must help me hereplease:

Need accomodation at Delhi for a period of 10 days. We are travelling up north in the month of March.

We are 3 families ( 10 Adults and 2 kids)

A good, clean service apartment with 3-4 rooms is best suited.

Kinldy let me know on which is the best VFM.

We stayed in a hotel called the Neem Tree on the ECR Road in Pondicherry. Decent accommodation available at Rs 1800 per night per couple. Being Christmas, the rates are a little more than the off peak season rates that start at 1400. There is a small television and room service is just a call away.

Pros - walking distance from the beach
reasonably clean and roomy, friendly staff
It is less than 5 kms from the city center if you want to check out their commercial area.
Easy to find as it is on the main road.

Cons - average quality food (only veg) that is overpriced. Try the adjacent restaurant that offers good food at reasonable rates - both veg and non veg available there.
Limited parking on the road - it is not covered, but there is a watchman
Have to book in advance, they don't accept plastic.

We stayed at the KSTDC hotel in Belur called Mayura Velapuri. The place provides good accomodation for really low prices. We stayed in a AC double room and the tariff was 900/- per day. The rooms were very clean and it was also very close to the Belur temple. So people visiting Belur can plan a stay at this place. The rooms can also be booked online from Karnatakaholidays.net . The food is not that good though and the restaurant can be avoided as it seems to be frequented by the locals wanting to booze.

We stayed at Rajlakhshmi lodge at Mysore. It is at the end of Nelson Mandella road. Secured basement car parking. Double bed room is Rs. 700 plus tax. with no extra charges for extra person. Rooms are clean and good with basic amenities and hot water available during morning.

If you are going from Bangalore, continue straight after ORR at Mysore, take a U turn at the petrol pump, follow the road, take left on Nelson Mandella road and at the end take second left. the lodge will be at your right side.

They bring food from outside if you order through room service, but non-veg food taste is not good.
