Hi,
I regularly use LMP in October. The service quality has certainly not increased. Unless you are particular about LMP, you could certainly try Hotel Regaalis or Metropolis, they are right on the Hunsur Road Junction.

I stayed there for three days during first week of this month. The room was pool facing one and service was good. The manager and other staff were very helpful and pleasant except for an aged gentleman at restaurant.

This place is worth for a day. It is sad that they are unable to maintain this property well.

Metropolis is better for rooms but LMP is good for a different experience (IMO)

+1 to Metropole. Very decent place for lazy day to spend at Mysore.
Add to it an easy drive on KRS road to Dasaprakash for a Mysore Masala Dosa ! :)

Can someone let me know a good place to have Coffee after Salem in the Salem to Neyveli route ? (Salem - Attur - Chinna Salem - Ulundurpet - Vriddachalam - Neyveli).please:

Thanks !

travellers - Family of 5- myself, wife, kid + 2 elders

1) Colombo - Budget - about 2-2.5K per night. centrally located and access to various tourist spots. close to restaurants. preference to Indian veg food.

2) Hikkaduwa - Budget - about 4-5k per night. I head Coral sands is pretty good and have written to them on availability. In case i dont get there, what are the other options ? Key priority is proximity to beach ( preferably on the beach ) and access to water sports. next priority is good food and option to stroll out and check other restaurant options

thanks a ton !

What is your mode of transport locally ? The reason to ask you this is, it would be more flexible in choosing the location to stay.
I did not stay in Colombo but opted to stay in Negombo, less expensive compared to Colombo.

Any place from Unawantuna to Hikkaduwa has good beach and you can directly check in to hotels and decide which one you want.

We went through a travel agency who booked our travel and stay arrangements. They put us up in Hotel Sapphire in Colombo (3-star) . It was on the busy Galle Road, close to major markets like House of Fashion, etc. I'm not sure how much they charge, but you can check up their website.

Another option is to stay at Negombo, like rk-sans did.

The beach hotel we were put up in was the Induruwa Beach Resort, which is bang on the beach. A fantastic place and real value for money. Food was also good. It is located around 30 kms north of Hikkudawa and 5 kms south of Bentota. Bentota has water sports facility.

I checked some of the hotels in Parel area and they priced above budget.
Now, looking for a safe PG in surrounding areas.

Guys,

Please suggest accommodation in the range of 2-2.5k/night @ Kolkota. (Preferably, park circus area)

Waseem.

Hello!

A couple of us BHPians are planning out a road trip to Mashobra near Shimla from 25-27th January. We're going to be 4 people including a lady and are looking for a place to stay which would be easy on the wallet and yet safe enough for the lady.

The whole purpose behind the visit is to get lost in the charm of the hills. A getaway of sorts. Would request BHPians to suggest since we're a confused bunch right now.

Thanks :)

Have heard good reviews for Indus Valley Ayurveda center at Mysore, from my friend who visited there about a year ago.
