Thanks Ranjit. I knew you would answer. Trust your judgement as always.
I have stayed at Hometel twice but I haven't noticed if they have parking facilities or not. I haven't had any meals there either thanks to the awesome fast food around the hotel.
Could you please tell me what is the differential between its sister hotel Grand Sarovar and the budget brand Hometel. I think more or less I will zero in on Sarovar because I've stayed at Hometel previously and had a nice experience barring check in

You mean the differential in prices or in terms of quality? In terms of prices there should definitely be a difference of 2k upwards between the two.As for quality,in Mumbai there isnt much of a difference considering that its a big city, but in other towns and cities, the hometel is quite basic(in terms of furnishings, menu etc). But in Mumbai considering the status of the city, there really isnt much to choose between the two. Both are equally good and bad.!

Hello!
I am planning another road trip to Mumbai in Feb and would be spending 3 nights there. As my girl friend would be staying with me I am hunting for a nice place which isn't shady at all.
I am looking for a city centre hotel. As close to Bandra as possible. My budget permits me to stretch to 4 to 4.5 k max inclusive of breakfast and taxes. Please help.
P.S : as far as the highway is concerned, I already have that figured thanks to my previous trip. |
If you wanna stay in Bandra, these are decent ones, & I am sure they will be able to offer a good deal.
In the Heart of Bandra - Pali Hill to me precise - Executive Enclave
link. Used to be a shady place a long time ago, reinvented themselves. we had a kids birthday in their banquet hall. Good food, restaurant is on the rooftop.
Slightly expensive is Sutra d’ Onyx, check it out, its part of the property that houses Olive.

Have a good trip
I am planning to travel to Vijayawada next month for 2 days. Planning to visit Mangalagiri Temple, Kanakadurga temple and if possible Amaravathy temple. I need suggestions about good hotel for stay and if there are any other places that can be covered. I looked in to APTDC and found 2 options Haritha Berm park and Bhavani Island. Bhavani Island is ruled out as it would be a separate trip. Any idea on Berm Park? How far is this located from the city?
Tips for having darshan in Kanakadurga temple. I will be travelling with my family on Dec 25th and 26th.
Thanks in Advance for you help in this regard.

Sorry no experience with Manorama, however Tripadvisor members do not seem to think very highly of it.

As suggested by Ranjit Taj Gateway hotel is the best option available. You may also cover Dwaraka Tirumala ( Chinna Tirupathi ) and the same is 100 kms away from Vijayawada.
Folks
Does anyone know of a decent, budget hotel at Bijapur that also has car parking? Someone known to me is driving down to Goa from Hyderabad via Bijapur, and wants to make a night halt there.
I did stay in a hotel on the Bijapur Solapur highway in Oct 2009, but don't recall the name now. It was 'Pleasant' something, and was reasonably priced.
Thanks in advance.

Hotel Pearl at Bijapur. The only decent place to stay in the town.Make sure one asks for rooms in the new annexe section as rooms in the old section are run down.

The one you are referring to must be Pleasant Stay.

There is one place on the Bijapur bypass called Hotel Shashinag. Decent place, you can try this out too. It is near the junction of Bijapur bypass and Bijapur-Solapur road
