I dont think this Kamat has any room/dormitory facilities unlike some of the others,this is just an eating place

Thanks very much all of you for your help. Will plan to stop at Shreyas Residency. The advantage will be that on the following morning, we can take an early start and avoid traffic. If we start by 6 am, we can may be even drive through the city to Mysore without much trouble.

Mudumalai: GreenWoods Nature Camp. Off Thorapally, before Gudalur (from B'Pur). Small cosy resort. Great prices for group stay. 6 persons: Rs 2500 per night. Food extra @~Rs 450 per person per day @ full board.

Palaniappa & Sultana (Devashola Estates), Off Coonoor:
Great place for groups of 10 or more. Cost Rs 950 to 1150 per person per day with full board

Try Honeyvale homestay (www.honeyvale.com); my brother and his family stayed there a couple of years back and they enjoyed their experience thoroughly.

Need some urgent help by suggestions. (I know that, this information has been mentioned many times in this thread, but I want latest. So, plz).

I will be going to Ooty next week with my family (Wife and Kid). This will be my first ever visit to Ooty. I'm new to Bangalore.
So, can anybody suggest me some good accomodation options. It shouldn't be on very high end accomdation option ( ie Between Rs. 2000 to 2500 / Per day) will be fine.

I will be traveling to Ooty this weekend. But I will stay in a homestay @ Kotagiri. 25Km from ooty. If you want I can send you the no of the place. The rates are like 1500-2000 Rs per day.

We stayed in Hoysala Village resort in Hassan, which is a very good resort. Price is approximately 5000 K per night including B/F, Lunch and Dinner. Ideal for those who wanted to visit Sravanabelagola/Belur/Hassan

Kings Cliff is very nice.
Destiny Farm Stay is also an excellent concept for city dwellers.
Sherlock is super.
And dont forget the other one- Kluney Manor.

Could also see MACIVER's Retreat/ Cottage in Coonoor - on the road up from Wellington to Upper Coonoor. Superb food. Nice looking rooms too. They've got another nice property on Sylks Road next to the Savoy Hotel in Ooty - LYMOND HOUSE.

Here is my recco - If you are planning to stay in Liitlearth group of hotels, stay one day either in Kings or Sherlocks and another day in Destiny. If you dont want to move out, atleast go to Destiny for lunch and spend couple of hours there including exploring Avalache area. You wont regret it:)
