Can anyone suggest a good hotel on Hosur Road closer to Bangalore say near Electronic city? I want a place where I can hit the nice road to go towards Mysore road, easy to get back to Chennai without going into the city.

There is a place called keys. Very nice hotel.
May be a bit expensive, but right where you need!

How about e-Inn ? Left side just before Electronics City while coming from Hosur. You may refer to their web-site too.
