I am looking in 400-500 total Kms to be clocked on the car.

Trekking is ruled out - Have a 14 months old honey.

considering the Heavy rains all over and road conditions, please suggest

Oh yea and very short notice. I am planning either tomorrow or on a sunday. Please please reply ASAP.

I would suggest yellagiri. Some 150 KM from Blr. Very good roads (GQ) plus some hair pins to tackle while going up the hill. Good allround test for your car.

You could go to Horsley Hills. Around 150 kms
Also it would be good to know in case you want to stay over or come back the same day.

Deepak, Just head out into the city on a Saturday morning to evening drive covering MG Road, Commercial Road, CMH Road, Bannerghatta Road, Hosur road and you will FEEL like you have clocked/driven more 1000 kms.

Hognikkal should be good. Easy day trip and the falls should have lot of water. Take a coracle ride too!

Man, that was awesome and you are so right.

BTW, if you want to clock 500 kms then I would suggest that you go to Gopalaswamy betta (approx 220km). Leave very early by 4am types and reach there by 9am. You can even go to Bandipur from there on. But don;t forget to carry food and water with you.

good one. However, I drive everyday from Maratahalli to Infantry Road with heavy traffic. Khan, do i have to tell you about the traffic, oh man i want to go out of bangalore.

How about Shivanasamudra, i have been there twice already. Is it a good time to go now.

As i Write this, there is heavy rain in Maratahalli.

You can try Bheemeshwari as well, would not be 400-500 kms up and down, but would be a nice day trip. The only issue is that you will have to book it by calling up Jungle Resorts guys. I think you need to pay up in Bangalore before you show up there.
Last time I had checked (which was ages back), I was told, that a day package costs around 1000 bucks. Includes some activities and food.
Here is someone's travelogue that I searched for just now:

With young honey, personally I don't prefer you to drive more. Better enjoy Nandi Hills or max can go to Mekedatu which is close to 110 km one way.

Enjoy week end.
