Hyderabad to Bhopal, Road trip

Has anyone done this stretch in the recent past? I plan to drive from Hyderabad to Bhopal over the weekend. Any updates on how the roads are post the rains?

Could you please post the road status after your trip ? Planning to do Bangalore-Bhopal for Diwali trip.

As per another thread within this forum, HYD-Nagpur took 8+ hours as roads got broken during. That doesn't sound good because I've done this route multiple times and it shouldn't take that long.

Hi, has anyone recently driven down from Bhopal to Chennai or similar. We are planning to drive down from Bhopal to Chennai. Day 1 Bhopal to Hyderabad and day 2 Hyderabad to Chennai. Is it feasible? We have a pet dog also, hence trying to cut down the cost by driving to Hyderabad on day 1. Please do share your experiences on road conditions, pet friendly hotels etc.

Yes it is feasible. It will be a 14 hour drive from Bhopal to Hyderabad via Nagpur and 10-11 hr drive from Hyd to Madras.

Has anyone done Hyderabad to Bhopal recently? Google suggests Hyderabad-Nagpur-Betul-Itarasi-Bhopal. How is the road surface on this route? How much time would it approximately take?

It would be great if someone could suggest how to go further to Ashoknagar, MP.

I did Guna to Bhilai recently.

Nagpur to Betul is a wonderful Four-lane road. Betul to Bhopal is a two-lane stretch which is a mixture of ok and good roads.

From Bhopal take the bypass road towards Vidisha and from Vidisha towards Ashoknagar.

Don't even think about the Bhopal-Biaora-Guna-Ashoknagar stretch.It is in horrible condition.

Bhopal to Ashoknagar via Vidisha is a buttersmooth two laned road and you will easily be able to maintain average speed of 78-80 Km/hr.

When I was in Guna,I drove from guna to lukwasa to meet my relatives.

Construction of four-lane is going on in the entire stretch from Dewas to Shivpuri.

It took me 1 hr 15 min to cover the stretch of 60 km from Guna to Lukwasa.The whole stretch has a lot of diversions because of construction of four-lane road.

I am not aware of the current condition of the road further till Gwalior.

Anyone done the Hyderabad to Bhopal recently. I did Hyd to Nagpur last year and it was super comfortable, no hassle trip. How are conditions from Nagpur to Bhopal?
