Really mad buggers, with poor idea of traffic management. Have increased my lunch commute time and BP levels by doing away with free flowing single lane traffic to 2 lane on St John's road and Madivala-Hosur road section!

Atleast 100 trees cut down for all this on both the roads! Am mad very very mad about the whole so called development!

EDIT: All this for welcoming the new elevated road to electronic city, i can give it in writing its going to be a big mess once it opens at that St John/Madiwala Jn.

But still there is lot of work which is pending, you can see huge platforms and semi built fly over with huge debri lying around. It will well and truly take another year for that road to settle.

But thats the sad part - the "relocation" of trees never happens. Once lost, gone forever. And always remember - the talk of all replanting saplings for the trees that are cut down is all BS. You can plant saplings - not Trees.

And how many years for the saplings to grow up.

+1
The narrow stretch between Ayyappa temple and Total mall Entry is going to be another bottle neck

The authorities are shaving Bangalore clean. Has any one checked the Central Telegraph Office ? That old building with all the trees in front & across the road have been taken care of by them. Sheshadri road is another one.

Then MKK Road from Rajajinagar to Malleswaram circle - buildings are being cut to widen the road ..

They fail to see the point that its actually the drivers who make the traffic more bad than the number of vehicles. Wider you make it, the more chaotic it will become, UNLESS they teach drivers basics of road etiquette!

Doubt it. There is a Govt of India regulation that no two airports can be within 150 Km's of each other. This is causing delays in setting up secondary airports at Greater Noida for Delhi and Panvel area for Mumbai. Last heard govt was supposed to review this policy and grant case by case approval.
