In Amritsar you can stay at Hotel MK, You can get a good deal online, Holiday Inn also has good rooms. For Dalhousie if you like a quieter retreat you can book birdwood cottage in Upper Bakrota, Bakrota is good for a nice stroll in the woods. There is a forest rest house in Kalatop but you will need to get the permission to stay there from Chamba.
