Bumping up this old thread as I could not find any other suitable thread.

What are the possible route options from Tarapur to Aurangabad, what will be the road conditions and is it safe to travel at night?

Any help will be appreciated.

Charoti Naka-Jawahar-Triambak-Nasik. 20 km of bad roads between Jawahar and Triambak, rest is decent to excellent. Takes 2.5 hours from Charoti to Nasik.

For Nasik-Aurangabad, the only route am familiar with is Nasik-Shirdi-Vambori-Aurangabad, where I can give latest update.

• Nasik-Sinnar-Shirdi is good 2-lane.
• Shirdi-Vambori written here (Hyderabad - Shirdi : Route Queries).
• Vambori-Aurangabad is smooth 4-lane.
• Should take about 4.5 from Nasik to Aurangabad.

I don't remember good things about the Yeola-Niphad from 2017 Dec.Haven't travelled Niphad-Vaijapur-Aurangabad, so no idea.

Bumping up this old thread again. Planning a road trip from Bangalore to parts of Maharashtra in the second week on October.

5-6-7 = Bangalore to Aurangabad - (966 km)
7-8 = Aurangabad to Nashik (sula vineyards) - (192 km)
8-9-10 = Nashik To Mumbai - (179 km)
10-11 = Ratnagiri to Mahabaleshwar - (225 km)
11-12-13 = Mahabaleshwar to Ratnagiri - (191 km)
13 = Ratnagiri to Bangalore - (833 km)

Requesting all to share any updates on the road conditions for the above trip.
