This camp is around 30 Kms from Chikmagalur and the journey takes around 45 min through some awesome coffee estates and forests. I think there should be some first aid facilities near the camp but for other things, you would need to go to Chikmagalur. It is indeed something off the beaten track.

Very good. No need to worry. Tirthahalli has all facilities and if need be then Shimoga has good hospitals.

Rajesh,

Wayanad will be hot during this season. I had visited last year during march.
Regarding Bhadra, there is a Forest stay too. Though the stay was good as per my colleague, I doubt the kind of facilities that you may need being available here. it wouldn be a top class stay though. Regarding distance, I see it has already been answered.

Thank You all friends. The place is almost fixed. Its going to be Yercaud as another friend of mine joined in, we are going to spend 3 days in Yercaud, just relaxing

Any way you have fixed your destination. Have a nice time.

I can tell you one thing for sure. If nothing works and all plans fail, take the car out for weekend and drive to Mysore.

There are lots to do around. You will have the feeling of driven long and also not get tired. Its real fun with all the eating joints on the road!

Nice one Amp, even we thought the same, if Yercaud is not worth 3-4 days, just get out of the place, drive to Coimbatore, Ooty, Masinagudi, Mysore and bangalore. So that we can atleast enjoy the good drive between these places.

In fact in winter, it makes for a perfect weekend.
With the KRS dam and Brindavan garden, zoo for the kids, rail museum, Srirangapatnam monuments, Chamundi temple for a visit, weekend shopping and a perfect Mysore'an cuisine, you cannot asking for anything better!
