because if the difference was Rs.75,000/-, the Diesel Exi would cost just Rs.6.35 L, which is too close to Petrol Zxi's price (Rs.6.4 L) for comfort!!!
Hey bro,
The diesel EXi variant has been launched in Mumbai too and is priced at 8.11L on Road Mumbai on Individual Reg.
The ZXi variant sells for some 8.55L however.

Btw,
as i had mentioned in my earlier post, the difference B/W the pricing of the EXi and ZXi petrol variants is because the petrol EXi comes with a 1400cc powerplant wheras the ZXi and SXi come with a 1600cc engine.

OT - We paid 8.52L for our Fiesta TDCi on Company Reg when we bought it.
The prices have really been jacked up.
There should be a 50 - 60K difference in prices if one buys it on Company Reg. today.

Petrol Exi - Rs.5.65 L
Petrol Zxi - Rs.6.4 L
Difference = Rs.75,000/-

Diesel Exi - Rs.6.85 L
Diesel Zxi - Rs.7.1 L
Difference = Rs.25,000/-

now, Exi variants of both Petrol & Diesel has the same trim......same case with the Zxi & Sxi variants

but, according to your thinking, Petrol 1600cc engine is Rs.50,000/- more expensive than the Petrol 1400cc ???
