Elantra is your best bet.
ABS+Airbags+TCS, at around 10L on road.
You may get hefty discounts too, but beware new one is coming soon.
Other option is the Verna Crdi which you can get with just ABS, no airbags.

I dont think its made to order. Today we had released an order for CRDI ABS version & the dealer has ready stocks (TAMILNADU)

When we had gone to purchase my friend's car in november we were interested in getting the ABS too but the GM (Sales) clearly told us that ABS was available only on order & we would have to wait for 4 weeks or so to get one. Maybe the situation has changed but considering you're in TN I think it'll be easier for the dealer to procure ABS version then for a dealer in Delhi.

great!!!i think the elantra is a very good option.the only con is that it wont offer a very good resale value.

You should go in for the Innova ' V ' variant , it is having many goodies packed in it , and yes AIRBAGS too .........

the 'v' variant does not fit in his budget of 10 lacs unless that budget is for ex-showroom. if it is then get the innova v. and dont forget to get parking sensors.. parking is a real pain without them.
