Fuzzy, I dont think Fusion Petrol costs anywhere close to 7L in Chennai. Its closer to 6L i think.... I have a friend who loves every bit of his Fusion and thinks its worth whatever he paid for it (which is much higher than the current price)...
Guess gemithomas can give you 1st hand info as he owns one.

Want a Petrol car below Rs. 6 lakh OTR in Rajasthan.

The Car must be a 3 box car. Will be mainly used for ferreting employees around the City. Will be sometimes used by us. Some highway use too, but not much. Show room price upto 5 lakh or so.

Would prefer local service in Ajmer. Dealers only for Maruti, Hyundai, Tata, (I think Ford has a service center).

Shortlisted:

Ikon
Esteem
Indigo
Accent
Suggest Any other??

Which will be the best?

Hi !! I would suggest go for a Accent, quite a good VFM Car, you will get it for around 5.75 OTR.

Other suggestion would be Logan !! You will have to check though if they have a dealer in Ajmer. Cheers !!!

alankarm, the esteem till date is more vfm than any other cars in its segment with service network that hardly any company can match, not to forget the low service costs.
The only other car i would think of if i was in your place would be a Tata Indigo LX, Tata's service is getting better by the day and the indica and indigo have been vfm leaders since quite a while, but then you mentioned you only wanted a petrol car. I wonder why though.

Alankaram, your requirement points it more towards the basic model of Logan Diesel. It can be used for both purposes ferrying your people around and would be good enough for highway runs and all this without burning a hole in your pocket.

Running is not going to be much. Should be below a 1000 km/month, and mainly for ferrying persons, not own use.

Also no Logan dealer as far I know, in Ajmer. So Logan may be difficult to maintain.
