Are the pumpe duse injectors reliable for the lifetime?
yes, but very very sensitive to the oil used.

Laura above budget

Tpi not in list due to absense of discs , cruise control , sunroof , xenons , skirts and what not

The Looks are important but then you got to sacrifice something for speed. As of Service Costs , I know the spares are a bit more expensive than civic , but then the civic is a delicate body while the RS is a Tank like build car!

@Abhinav - if you want a fast car, go for RS. and if you want a fast car which is very economic then go for Magnum. If you want snob value with a not so fast car then go for civic. IMO a civic in stock condition does not qualify as a fast car. civic owners please dont mind.

Pretty much everything is mentioned here in this thread. As a Civic owner I can tell you that its a really great car. Decent mileage (8 in the city and 12 in the highways - I have an AT), great interiors, excellent ride qualities and a gem of an engine.

Last week we had a nice drive with the Civic & the old 2.0 litre petrol Skoda. Both the cars were awesome on the highway. 160+ was effortless. We switched between the cars and the comments were:

1. The civic and the skoda (albeit the old model) seem to perform almost similar.
2. Mileage figures were similar.
3. Civic looks more classy, while the skoda looks solid. (the red skoda is great)
4. Interiors wise, the Civic won hands down. (space, looks, comfort)
5. Breaking was great in the Skoda, not that the civic was bad, but its a standout feature in the skoda.
6. Skoda Octavia/RS is a generation old while the civic is the latest you can get.

Both cars have their plus & minus.

Ok dude , thanks for the info. But the features like Cruise Control , Climatronics , Sensors ( Reversing and Rain ) , Xenons with Headlamp washers , the sunroof , the leather , the 16 inch tyres , spider alloys and much more is missing. Taking A Tpi would make me miss all this!

Most of these are missing in Civic dude..Tis not just only about bhp..if you go by company quoted figures..0-100 comes up in 9.06s for RS and 9.07s for Corolla. If you dont like being beaten from the signal, go for RS..period! who cares abt FE if somebodyz spending over a million..burn the rubber mate

There is an extremely popular poll on this forum where vRS did better than Accord. vRS badge is the most cool, the most hip one to own than any other badge under 20 lacs. vRS is one of the few cars that makes me a bit green when I see one on the road.

If you are an enthusiast, you might develop serious identity crisis after buying civic. Just kidding. It is an extremely good car, but c'mon.. every middle manager uncle is buying Civic and trying to look sporty.
