7.5l budget, including mods for a diesel car.

Hi guys.

Finally got permission to sell off the indica and get a better car. the total budget is around 7.5l, including mods. and IT HAS TO BE A DIESEL. it may either be new, or a used one( but with low kms on the odo!).

Dad preffers a used skoda octavia, and i am also not against it, but is there a better deal?

The getz diesel seems to be around the corner.

A used skoda octy with low kms I'm guessing will be very hard to find. Else, the only option will be the Swift D.

You can get used CRDi Elantras in your budget. Nice car and comes fully loaded. But, the Octavia would be more involving to drive.

you dont have to find one with very low mileage. you can get the engine redone and the car overhauled.

Wouldnt that cost a bomb? considering that its a skoda, and more the car has run, more the chances of things going wrong !

Go for the Octy if maintanence costs are not a problem (compared to Indica), else SWift DDis would be a good choice.Accent CRDi is yet another option..

Nikhil, you say that your budget is 7.5L. In that case why don't you think in terms of a DICOR or a CRDE Scorpio. Instead of a used one, you'll be owning a brand new SUV.

I actually wanted to avoid a hatchback, espicially a swift. It has become too common a car. moreover it is too cramped.

can you get a fiesta d in 7.5? you could get the petes box with that.

i think your best option is to get a used octy diesel and get a petes box or a remap for it.

I am not really sure about it. I hate its looks. But is it so good a car that one can forget about the looks?
