Sedan in the range 7l - 8l

Team,

My friend is looking for a sedan(only petrol)in the range 7l - 8l and has the following requirements.

1.Decent Mileage (11-12 Km/Liter)
2.Good ***
3.Should be powerful and not sluggish.
4.Should be comfortable for 4.

He does not like the following cars
1.SX4 (Hates the most!!!)
2.Verna (Does not like the shape!!)
3.Aveo (Not to his liking!!)

Now coming to the choices he is munch inclined towards the Fiesta/CITY.Out of these cars, according to his requirements which is the best bet?

Start pouring in the replies.

NHC will be a safe bet, but if he loves driving, then Fiesta it should be!

Yes,even Fiesta 1.6 SXI falls within his budget and comes with all bells and whistles.

But,is the NHC not going to be replaced soon?Guess New CITY might be somewhere in the middle of '08.This might badly affect the re-sale value of NHC.

I had the same dilemma of NHC or Fiesta. I decided to go for NHC if I am buying petrol & Fiesta if I am buying a diesel.

If he's looking at the 1.4, he can easily get these mileage figures. However, with the 1.6, he would struggle a bit in this regard, although it cant be that bad. For the 1.4, hormaz should be able to clarify while for the 1.6, we have suman.

By the way, ALWAYS a Fiesta over a NHC!!

The NHC makes more meaning as in terms of fuel efficiency, good comfort level and true owner's delight

Seeing FE and comfort as important parameters, it has to be the NHC for him.

Fiesta is a better drivers car. That's the only area in which IMO, it beats the NHC. Saying than, the NHC is no slouch either.

Just go get the Fiesta 1.6 Sxi. Or maybe the new limited edition one with the 1.6 engine. Mileage would be decent enough for the power. near 10 in city and near 16 on highways. (Thats what i get on the fusion with the same engine). ASk him to try out the Fusion Too. I guess they have retuned the suspensions. Otherwise the ride is not so good.

Other factors being similar (such as FE 13 for NHC & 11 for Fiesta), go for NHC since its more spacious than Fiesta.

You seem to have missed out requirement number 3 - or perhaps you have no idea?
