Do Logans have good Resale Value?

Hi

i am plannig to buy logan dle version although i will not be travelling very often but occasionally 200km up and down my native .

1) can the diesel version be used like petrol version ie. keep it idle for 1 month and does it start as smoothly as petrol variant ?

2) Does logan has resale value if i want to sale it out ?

thnks

Check this: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian...off-logan.html

While owners love it, the discussion on that thread can help you decide better.

From the limited examples in the market already, the diesel Logan has a fairly respectable resale value. Unsurprisingly, the petrols have bombed.

It will have a good resale value - especially if it is a Disel. As GTO rightly said that unsurprisingly these cars hardly sell in Petrol Models.

Only Diesel is selling

I went for a test drive last week. Very much disappointed with the car. I don't think people will buy it 2nd hand.

is logans body galvanised 7 paint coats or made from grade 1 steel like on the skodas or GM cars? I live besides the beach and the salt breeze rusts the shell of all marutis hyundais and hondas under 2 years beyond repair, literaly mkaing rusted holes in the door pannels.

You can ask the people who have bought here in this forum and they all vouch for the car be it a petrol or a diesel. But what you did not like in the car is unclear though

Is it not a kind of early to decide on Logan's resale value. The model has been hardly around for 6 months. once long term reports start coming out things change quite a bit.

Its to early to speculate on resale but i am sure it will not be sought after car like others in the used car mkts. Cars like these churn out respectable number as most taxi and tour guys also buy , but they mostly buy a new car but diesel is still hot in used car markets may it be any model not sure about indica though

Although it's too early to speculate about the Logan's resale value, the diesel would be having average resale value(and not poor like Matiz/Palio), but will not be in the league of Maruti/Honda/Toyota !

there's news reports out of a 30-43k price cut in the logan. this is going to affect the resale value of the older cars bought at the higher price points quite negatively.

thanks for the information ...

so, when is this 30-43K cut to be affected ?? and will it be across india and across Petrol and diesel variants ?

i got a call today from sales person with whom i am interacting for logan and he told me the GLX ex-showroom price has been slashed by 26K but no slashing for diesel and might not even have one (i guess thats because D varient is selling pretty good and i think might have good/resonable relase value too )
