Thats really unfortunate, but keep the excitement alive coz this is the fun part- the hunt !

Since your father is very keen on an MB, keep a look out for it but also keep an eye out for a used 3 series (will be hard to find).

Failing which your next best options are: The Audi A4 (was on a huge discount for 20 lakhs ex-showroom, stock might be over), VW Passat and Skoda Superb (Value for money)

Thanks for your support guys, The car has to be a Merc as dad is adamant on it. I was in Ludhiana yesterday and went to Tai Pan Motors to checkout if they had something. Nothing in there stock was close to the white one. No sadly I didnot sign a contract with them just gave a cheque, which they did not even encash. I have been told there is a blue 2006 200k care is somi nagar as per a ad in the HT yesterday. will go and see it today its done 21k and the asking price is 20lac. Will update post the Test Drive

Dont try saving a lac if the car is in pristine condition. And try advertising in papers in BOLD . Am sure you will come in contact with the user directly.

Dont worry buddie we will hunt down one for you.I felt really bad hearing the news,the dealer was taking all of us for a ride.You will find a better one soon buddie.
