new car- read then vote

hey guys
we are replacing my nexia and are right now at that stage where we decide whether we need another car or not
anyway if we do get a car these are my priorities (not in the same order)
1. resale
2. looks
3. safety
4. comfort
5. FE
6. boot space

power is really not all that important as i have a GTX and dont need more power right now
budget is 6.75 max ex showroom. would have streched more but its going to be company reg
will confirm budget and price soon
thanx

I voted for Toyota. Today Economic times carried an article about Toyota Innova. The base model is going to cost 6.5 but comes with only AC. No power steering too. But I am not sure whether the price is on-road. One with power steering may also fit your budget.

Here are my options Lambo:

1) +FE, -comfort, +resale, -looks: NHC
2) + VFM, +FE, - looks, -resale : Baleno Lxi + custom fitments (music system, alloys, interiors)
3) +comfort, +looks and more looks, - FE: Optra

Even I suggest the Toyota Innova if you are really going to use it for long and Iam sure the resale value will be very good.

I'd say the Optra base since you are not very power oriented about this new car. Optra is sheer value for money & in that price bracket it sounds like your best bet. Toyota's price of 6.5lakhs w/o P/S sounds really ridiculous.
& Face it, 5yrs down the line resale is not going to be much for any car. Just a few thousands maybe here & there.

Well,

With your emphasis on Resale, fuel efficiency, comfort and by not looking at Performance, you have automatically selected NHC. It is perfect for that budget and meets all your parameters.

The reference to Dad got me curious and therefore I checked your profile. Holy Cow! You are only fifteen, I mean really?

If you don't mind my question, how do you know so much about cars without actually driving them legally? Surely, you couldn't be driving in Mumbai streets without gettng caught for underage driving....

Honda City exi.
1. Good resale as its a Honda.
2. People are finally accepting its looks.
3. It is definately a safe car.
4. Too roomy and comfortable.
5. The best FE in its class.
6. Huge boot.

or,

Baleno.
1. U shud get a decent resale value.
2. The rear looks kinda outta place.Looks hot in black with a nice spoiler.
3. Cant comment on its safety.
4. Comfortable and spacious enough.
5. Very decent FE.Its a Maruti afterall.
6. Decent boot space.

I guess take a pick amongst these two car and u wont surely regret. Both are sheer VFM.The only additional advantage u get on a Baleno is the power, but it loses out lil on the resale part.
If i were u,it wud've been a Black Baleno,with black tints,sum meaty 14" alloys on 195 tyres.Hotttt!!!!

its gotta be the baleno man and i think the e 2 and e 3 cost alost the same ( only a marginal diff of rs.8000 ) . u can neva go wrong with a maruti boss .
total value for money if you don't mind the looks , great strt line performance , amazing handling , decent fuel eff if not great , i do't think resale should be an issue after a period of 5 yrs coz there are so many cars pouring in all the time so in 5 yrs i have this notion that these cars might juts be outdated so if u get like more or lesss the same amt for it .

samaurai and drifter man i am underage, love cars and im sure if i spend some time under the hood of one i will et to know more about them...
i havent been caught but look very underage...
cops are very careless and ive passed by many and even trailed a few but if you drive okay they dont notice.. but since i resemble singhania a litle (fair chubby) i think they mistake me.

went and checked out a few cars more -
hyundai accent GLE loaded in black and new interiors with alloys, fogs , rockin system , spoiler and a T-BHP sticker
hyundai sonata S20 - only 10.81 company on road !!! will have to ask my father if he is willing to spend that much though
lancer - 6.93 and fully loaded ex showroom price not bad

right now i want baleno or city or optra .
average should be 8.5 + in city with a.c.

dad will be coming back today so will ask him when he does ...
BTW the optra base in red and mica now comes with beige interiors according to the salesperson and if ou buy a tevra, the red on gold looks horrible maybe on a scorpio but never a tavera
