CEDIA - discount or colour?

After reading through umpteen reviews and lots more of it cedia came out to be the car of my choice beating optra (decision made easier with the oil sump GC issue ) & corolla ( not as VFM as cedia , and looks old , wife dint like it ).

So now since Lathangi is closing by, i made a good push for a discount there and i am getting around 15K discount more than what SM is giving to me. But they have only slightly-blackish-grey (ashton grey). My colour choice was for slightly-darker-red ( french claret as they call it ). So what to do?.. i am confused whether to listen to my pocket or for my first choice. Grey doesnt look bad, but should i go for the M-factor and go for grey itself?... T-Bhpian pleassssssssseeee help...

@ Santosh- Cedia is a good car. Wise decision by not opting for Corolla as new Corolla is on its way. Grey color looks ok. If you are happy with it just opt for it rather than creating more confusions.
OT: whatsthe OTR u been quoted?

Go for the discount Santhosh. Personally, I like the Grey better.

that is my favorite color among those offered on cedia. surprisingly i don't see this color that much on our roads. at least it is a very sober/neutral color so it not like you are getting florescent pink!

Grey looks great on the cedia and was my first choice actually, but then saw the silver and went for that. Go for grey not too flashy but still very regal looking.

We have a grey on t-bhp already and that car looked terrific.I think the grey is better than the red.And what was the total discount that you got?
Go for it buddie and check whether it is an old stock-2007 make too.

Frankly it is a very personal choice. I am writing this as my neighbour has a grey/black Cedia Sports which I see everyday. I am still confused whether that car is grey or black. Anyway it is not jet black like, say, Optra. For me the car carries an old, faded look. It looks really bad when slightly dirty. Also makes Cedia look smaller.

I fully agree with White Knight regarding the Ashton Grey colour looking bad when slightly dirty. However, the CEDIA is a good car and VFM.

Forget the Colour - Also, Grey ages slowly.

Go for it. What's the OTR ?

After Sales

Santosh,

I think you have already made your decision regarding the Cedia, which by the way is a good product in it's realm / category.

But do also consider the after sales service aspect.
With Lathangi closing down, would it not be a trifle difficult to manage with Southern?
Also, with regard to the service, wasn't Lathangi the better of the two?

Is there any new HM/Mitsubishi dealer appointed already @ Bangalore.

Thanks

^^None as of yet other than southern. Expected lead time for another dealer is 2 months according to the HM folks.

Your choice is between 15k and looking at the car everyday and feeling how would she have looked in Red.

btw 15 k will get you about 300L of petrol or 3000 kms.
Your one month driving cost is going to give you the colour of your choice.

your head has found a great car, let your heart choose the colour.

I would say he will spend most of his time inside the car, so does'nt really matter. Anyway, I agree with some of the posts here that Grey/Black is difficult to maintain.
