Thanks!! for all the info....

Are there dealers who deal in after market engines apart from the EVO series for Lancers?

I kinda dont like the look of the lancer...so still looking for other car options...would be like the best body under the worst looking dress!!

Guys...feel free to poll in your suggestions

300 bhp with a engine swap was what he said i think. I remember one thread in which dom was talking about a stage 3 suzuki engine producing 450 BHP or something close to it.

well MY CAR IS NOT 300 horses.
it was a 1.8 for some time and then the torque and bhp had gone pretty high. was 145 bhp without nos and was running 75bhp shot of nos.
did not work out well blew th engine. so picked up another engien and worked on it. it is still 1600cc but fast.
NOs costed me 35k and dom and me installed it in the car by ourselves. total installation cost was Rs.500 including clamps and necessary nut bolts also a 20's pack of cigarettes!!

i said that it is possible to have a 300hp baleno with an engine swap.
Sorry Scarlet dint mean to dissapoint you.

depends on driving requirements and budget.
personally i prefer a zen today...the baleno is extravagant for our roads.
