I also managed to get the print outs of the last two services and found the rear boot has had a body repair.
You got this from the Diagnostics?

I think he got that from the Skoda dealer's here.

Different set of tyres, stress crack on windshield. Immaculate interiors. Something just does not seem right.

Seeing all the threads on the problems faced with german car's, I would go for a Jap car.

Cedia with nice mods will be reliable and will come to around the same as the vRS.

No, I was at the workshop, collecting my car. I just asked and they gave. I would not normally like to reveal my car details to all and sundry though!

Raajks.. you have taken the right person with you for checking the car. I am sure the dealer would have got shocked when Ajit connected his notebook to the car.

Most of the vRS in Bangalore is driven by young chaps and they will put them on sales when they scrap the car (some are exception when they are upgrading to a better one). I would suggest you to give an ad in new paper and try to contact the owner of the car directly for closing the deal.

Interesting story. Just goes to show that there are one too many suspect RSes in the market, hard to find a genuine piece. Keep looking.

what you need is an OBD II cable which can be bought from Car PC Systems | Vehicle Infotainment Solutions | iRide Technologies, Mumbai, India or from ebay.com. just make sure its VAG compatible- thats normally mentioned.

the price ranges from 5$ onward(from hongkong) to 200$+. you get a drivers cd with it too.
the one mentioned above is a serial port kind. the ones on ebay and iride are usb/bluetooth based, which is far more convenient to use. most of them are multi protocol ones, supporting VW, ford ,GM etc...

Had kept a Black 2006 Cedia Sports on hold.
This was a demo car at K1000.

The car currently had been taken back to Chennai and the company decided to do R & D work on it..instead of putting it for sale.

So.... No Cedia and No vRS for now...
the hunt however is on ...

I guess I have seen the aforementioned car - is it the 'Zero car' which was with Lathangi before and more recently Southern/HM was trying to sell off? I think you did a good thing by passing it, I had met someone who knows quite a bit about the car and he had suggested against it.

i thought the dealers were not allowed to sell the dmo cars?

if it was the Zero Car - then its a good thing you passed it... i can imagine what state it might have been.

@Crazy & @Madan
It is the same BLACK demo car with the red stickers at the back.

Yeah, I am not too hazzled for the car being gone.
They were giving it for a good price.

I had plans of changing the suspension anyways!

I am checking another Silver vRS ..this one appears geniune ..will update you guys on the same.

After checking numerous posts of the vRS owners...
Especially Ashish22's post on driving with keeping the service costs in mind, Its a little disheartening.
